Q: Can the pillow cover be unzipped and washed ?

A: The cover cannot be removed, but I have stuck the whole thing in the washer & dryer on very low and it came out fine.

submitted byTaylor - 5 years agoTarget staff supportA: If you open the zipper on the bottom, you just access the fluffy filling stuff (which probably has a real name) with no lining. If you pull the stuffing out, it seems like it would be very hard to restuff and not get lumpy and lose the original shape. Unless you're willing to spend a lot of time on it or have skills in stuffing things evenly.

A: Hello! This backrest has not be designed to add more fill to it. There is a zipper at the bottom of the backrest used to fill it with polyester fill. But, the zipper is designed not to open after it is closed. Thank you for your question and shopping at Target. Tab

This item is not sturdy because it is loosely packed this is more like a pillow then a backrest. I have bought other backrest and they are packed very tight so that they hold up like a chair. I guess I’ll just use it as a $16 pillow. In conclusion you get what you pay for.
