We are a family of five with three young kids. so we have lot pairs. It took me 45 minutes to put this together. very easy and intuitive. I was able to assemble in my living room and then wheel it. It fits in my shoe closet and just about high enough that it does not hit the coat hanger rod. Very good buy and fits more than 50 pairs (kids) . the only thing is my toddler shoes fall off as they are not too big so i just placed a cardboard box as a cover to hold them . Would have loved if it was a bit lower in cost though.
This went together fairly easily. There was a struggle getting about half of the bars and screws threaded, but we're all accustomed to that. It jiggles, but compared to plastic models it's sturdy. My big disappointment was the unit width which cannot render the described 50 pairs of shoes, rather enough space for 40 pairs of women's size 8 summer sandals. Total width of the unit is 35" (listed as 36-1/2"), and the bars only 34". Not a deal breaker, but I hate deceptive advertising.
Read the reviews, some of which were not favorable but I love my shoe rack... 50 pairs of shoes including my 'booties'. We opted not to add on the wheels since there is carpet in the closet. It's sturdy and my flats (of which I have many) stay put.
I love it. My only "beef" is that some of my ankle boots don't really rest comfortably on the slats. But that's a small thing, not a big thing. It takes 36 pairs of shoes very well and it is stable and easily moved because of the casters. I am very pleased with the purchase.
