Sigma Beauty Spa Express Cleaning Mat Brush Cleaner

I've been cleaning my brushes for almost 20 years so I've seen all the trends and gadgets. We used our brushes for years without cleaning them back in the day so it was revolutionary when I first learned first learned to do it. Now I do it at least once a week. It was a different time back then, foundation came in orange light orange white and pink. And no matter how well you thought you blend it, come mid day it would oxidize and you would have a line across your jaw it looked like you were wearing a mask. Make up was pretty terrible and brushes were literally made of Barbie hair like plastic so even if you tried to wash them they'd just fall apart. luckily, there was a movement somewhere along the way and make up and skin care became affordable and accessible to everyone at every price point. If you are under 25 you have no idea how good you have it. Something in foundation back then interacted with the flash of (disposable) cameras so that every girl in the photo with makeup on looked like she was wearing a bright white mask. Drugstore foundations came in just 4 shades- chalky pink, apricot pink, light orange , and dark orange. They were all full coverage and super matte, drying and blending was impossible. even so, many of us wore it over our perfect teenage skin every day, completely oblivious to how perfect our skin was! This was thanks to Seventeen magazine for creating a generation with body/face/skin dysmorphia! Of course we made up for it with our super low rise, hip hugger, flare leg jeans that sat on our hip bones, exposing the sides and back of our thongs if we were "bad girls". Those of us without money for actual hip huggers would cut the entire waste band off of our regular jeans, leaving only the zipper. Hip bones and upper butt cheeks exposed and our thong pulled as high as we could get it. To straighten our hair we would have a friend iron it on the floor with a towel underneath and if we wanted blonde steaks in our hair we used Sun In spray, or lemon juice. Back to the brush cleaner though, it's great and the he quality is exceptional. The surface is sectioned off with different patterns and each is labeled for different areas like "eyes" and "cheeks". I thought at first that this it was a brush cleaner and face cleaner in one and it actually could work as a face scrubber if you were in a pinch or traveling. it has suction cup so you can either stick it to your mirror or your bathtub wall and I like to stick it to the bottom of my bathroom sink while I wash my brushes. Huge tip that will save you so much time, the absolute best cleaner to use is Bronner's liquid soap. Nothing comes close to its quick and gentle cleaning power!

I liked that it fit my sink perfectly and my brushes came out very clean and when I finished with it I cleaned it and put it in my drawer.
