I just used it for the first time at 350° for 18 minutes. When I opened the oven door, the air was thick with an odor like a chemical/factory smell and the food I made smells like the silicon mat. I don’t know if it just needed to off-gas on its first time or if we got a flawed one but now there’s food in the garbage and I am have to make lunch again.

This works great for everything from broiling ribs to roasting vegetables, and doesn’t interfere with carmelizing. I’ve used it in my oven up to 400°F and it has been good so far. Beats the heck outa scrubbing a “non-stick” pan. Clean up easy.

The packaging stated that this silicone mat was heat resistant up to 450F. I tried it while baking food in the oven at 425F, and it started smoking so bad it set off my smoke alarm before I had a chance to pull it out. I think this is the first Target purchase I've made that immediately went into the trash after buying.

I have a silpat mat and this works just as well for half the cost. I’ve always had issues with my gas oven not cooking evenly, but these help so I don’t burn the cookie bottoms but still get them cooked through.
