I love how you can grip a hot cookie sheet, without worrying about the potholder sliding! Even my silicone baking mitt has nothing on these-they are simply shaped better, for gripping. They are also a tad thicker than my other silicone items, so the heat doesn’t penetrate as quickly. It still has its limits, as to how long you can hold the hot item, before you start to feel the heat. Overall, they are now my go-to, any time I’m using the oven. Great price for the pair, as well!

My hands are fairly large. These mitts don't open as far as my hand does, so I feel a touch limited in movement. I found that they do an effective job of insulating my hands from hot pans, even coming out of a regular oven. But as a long-practiced rule, I don't carry hot pans any longer than absolutely necessary. I did feel the heat starting to bleed through, but it was never an issue for me. My only major issue with the shape is that the thumb "pocket" is too wide, making it way too easy to accidentally dip into the food. It makes for a fun little puppet, but awkward as an oven mitt.

I have what I believe are standard sized medium female hands and they are too big for me. I don’t believe I can return them because I tossed the packaging. The biggest area of opportunity for this product is that I don’t think it works well. It’s fine for taking a hot plate out the microwave but anything hot out the oven, not so well. Another off thing, my hands were cold and I grabbed these to hold a small tub of ice cream and I felt the cold coming through. It was interesting. If you have bigger hands, I recommend you give it a try.

I needed to replace my current potholders, as grabbing metal out of the oven was starting to burn my hands (thin spots). I got these because I didn't want that issue to happen again, though I was a bit skeptical of them. Since then, I've used them multiple times and they work awesome. I can't even feel the heat unless I'm holding something for a longer than normal period of time.
