We purchased this item but it had a terrible toxic smell once we opened the box. We tried airing the pieces out for a few days but there is a smell. I’m shocked and disappointed that this piece came like this and it’s for a child’s room. I do not recommend buying this bookcase at all.

I like how this goes with my other nursery furniture that I bought from target but it's upsetting to see that the paint on the top is starting to come off. I don't understand why this is an issue but it shows poor quality.

Started putting it together, the first 2 pieces wouldn’t screw in (holes weren’t drilled right and didn’t appear to accommodate the hardware the instructions want you to use). Then discovered the top piece was completely split in half from one end to the other. Had to pack it all back up and now have to haul it to the store itself to return. Complete nightmare and not sure if I even want to chance ordering another one and having the same issue.

I was very happy with this purchase! The color is spot on! The only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because some of the holes didn’t line up properly. Other than that, it’s everything I wanted!

The bookshelf itself is nice and good quality. However, it is extremely wobbly, even after we took it apart and put it back together several times. Which is frustrating because I need it to be as sturdy as possible for my child’s room.

ok so maybe its just my new mom brain but putting this thing together was HARD. The matching crib was a cake walk compared to this, but nonetheless it is a perfect accent in our girls nursery and great storage! really ties the room together with the matching crib and dresser/changing table!

We have the crib, bedside table, dresser/changing table, and bookshelf. The finish is coming off on ALL of them! This was a big splurge for us and we are so so disappointed. I would not recommend this brand.

Only main complaint is that the paint was stripped in a couple places. We will contact Simmons to see what they can do to help/resolve. It's sturdy, the rustic white was a little lighter in color and taller than expected.

My husband and I got the whole set for our nursery. This specific item was sent with the wrong piece. Instead of receiving the middle back panel we received two bottom panels and the top. We managed to make it work but it was still inconvenient.
