I received a free sample of this sewing machine to review and I would like to share my impressions. When I unpacked it I was impressed with the light weight of the machine along with the built in handle. No more lugging around a 20 pound sewing machine. I was able to set it up quickly and it doesn`t...  see moreof 4dogkids's review

I have sewn for many years with very well-made sewing machine. I purchased this machine to use when I visit my son for simple sewing projects and repair. This machine is great for basic sewing needs. The machine is worth what I paid for it and I expect it to perform well.  see moreof Jan's review

I had a Singer machine for more than 25 years but was told it could not be repaired. I then tried and returned two other machines which I was not happy with, including a "commercial" quality machine. I just got the Singer 1512 about a week ago, and have been very pleased so far. It is easy to thr...  see moreof E's review

My mother bought this machine a couple of years ago as something to have on hand for basic projects. We both struggled with the bobbin knotting underneath the presser foot - seemingly at random. The simplest tasks became incredibly frustrating. My mother decided to scrap the machine after a particul...  see moreof novasole's review

This isn't the best machine for starting sewing. Bought for my daughter, it's much more difficult to get it to work properly. First one was taken back because it kept getting stuck under the bobbin area. The design isn't the best, it doesn't seem to like reverse --constantly having to redo the bobbi...  see moreof TargetLove's review

My biggest complaint is the bobbin issues that I have with this machine. The instruction for how to thread the bobbin are easy enough. But the thread is CONSTANTLY being jammed behind the bobbin area, and there's no instructions at ALL on how to un-jam or redo the bobbin holder itself. This meani...  see moreof Justthreads's review

My mother got this for me for Christmas not to long ago and I have to say I'm really not impressed. It does have a speed dial or controlled speed setting. It literally eats every fabric I have tried from fleece to cotton to silks. Half the time it doesn't pick up the bobbin thread and the other hav...  see moreof 1's review
