Q: I want to order 4 frames to create a gallery but I cant damage my apartment walls so I would like to hang these using 3M Command Frame hanging strips. Will those easily work with thsee frames?

A: Hello Joss – We know our guests expect a sleek and professional frame to house their most precious photos. If you take the mat out, you'll have a 12" x 12" opening to display your pictures. With the mat inserted, the opening allows for 8" x 8" of photo space. Including the frame, the overall dimensions are 13.03" L x 13.03" W x 0.78" D. A:Â Yes if you don't use the mat or cut it to size. There will not be even spacing on the outside edges of the photo, but it will fit.

Q: What mechanism holds the backing on - bendable clips that you pry up and press down again, or tabs that "twist" into a groove? I need the kind that bend up and back. Hoping that's what this has, the frame is perfect!

A: Hi JustWannaKnow - Thanks for asking! Unfortunately the glass opening for this is only 12” and most LP album covers are around 12.5. We do carry a 12.5” frame for this purpose, but we only carry it in Brass at this time. We hope this helps! - Jerith

The clips that are meant to hold the mat into the frame are not strong enough to hold it in without supplementing the back of the frame with tape. That's easily remedied, so if you don't mind that it's otherwise fine and reasonably priced. I did like the design and the mat. I like that there is a black and white version available. The white was much better for my artwork. The mat opening is 8 x 8 and I had a 6 x 6 collage to display so I put the collage on a piece of black paper and it turned out very well, good enough to be in an art show! I needed a frame for an art show in a hurry and it was convenient for me to get it at Target. I usually make my own frames but when I don't have time I need to buy a ready made one and I usually have to shop several big box stores to make sure I have the right size since hobby stores don't seem to sell the side pieces for making custom size frames any more. I was able to use the internet to shop several stores at one time for the right size so it was very helpful in this case to have choices I could utilize in a hurry.

These are cheap frames as expected. The worst part is the backings do not fit. Once you take the frame apart it is extremely difficult to put back together. I had to cut the backing so it fit back into the frame. This was for all 6 frames I got. Definitely expected for the cheap price tag.

These were the cheapest frames I could find that fit my need for my gallery wall. However, you get what you pay for in the sense that the manufacturer made this ridiculously hard to put up correctly. Frames that could easily be hung by a single centered latch, have 2 separate latches on the back that are NOT evenly placed on each frame. Every single frame's hanging latches had slightly different measurements making it nearly impossible to hang them up perfectly straight and even for a gallery wall. I did a lot of math and distinct measuring and used a level just for them to still not come out perfect. They did suit my needs though and for the price I cant really complain as frames for gallery walls can add up to be pretty expensive. Also 1/6 arrived broken as they were packaged pretty poorly, but target is great and sending out a replacement.

I ordered six of these as an easy way to fill up space on a master bedroom wall. Fast forward 12 mos and I enlarged different prints and put these in our spare bedroom that we redecorated. I ordered a top mat to compliment room colors from an Etsy seller that you can order custom mats from (who is REALLY reasonable). Tip: I used four narrow command picture hanging strips for each frame and they fit the frame perfectly.

I just want a cheap, functional frame in these dimensions that you can hang easily, with like, a nail. This has two claws on the back that require some fancy set up. I'm sure it's nice for classy people, but it's too much for just another frame around the house.

Picture frame are good looking/decent quality for the low price. The main problem is that some fool decided to use 2 small sawtooth hangers on the back of this frame instead of one large one in the middle. I bought 9 to make a collage and hanging them was SO much more difficult & time consuming bc of this flawed design. They are finally up now & pretty good but I would not purchase again bc too much of headache to hang especially for collage style displays.

Buying these frames can be a time and labor intensive project. You must go through the stack in the store to inspect each frame for dings, scratches, etc. 75% of the frames have some sort of damage. But, once you've found a good one, it's a great basic frame.
