Seeing the reviews about the hand extending, I set my expectations and bought it anyway. I'll never extend it, but it looks cute as is. The hand base is open enough to place a tealight too, just FYI.

Great understated modern and elegant gothic vibe. Love it. Mine did come with a missing screw that makes the height adjustable, but Target is replacing the item.

I love the look of this, it is perfect for gothic or dark academia Halloween decorating. If you are not into pastel or "cutesy" decorations, this is the piece for you. It is really nice quality for the price. Definitely a keeper.

I love the overall aesthetic but mine is crooked. The thumb bone is curved in too much so none of my tapered candles will sit straight up and down. Other than that, it’s a great piece. I just recommend buying in store and testing it with a tapered candle.

Love this but it was poorly made. Every one of these I have seen in-store was loose, wobbly and broken half way through the arm part. You can’t screw it back in either, once it’s broke it’s broke.

Saw this online but was unsure with negative reviews. They had it in store and i actually loved it. It’s not a solid black but more bronzed black. It does look silly extended but I didn’t need the height so it doesn’t bother me. I can see why people don’t like it but if you’re ok with it as is and not extended I think it’s great. Should be more like $15 in price though

Artistically stunning, high quality, and well-made. Definitely a keeper. Agree that the inner extension rod is a bit wonky but it would be clever if you used these en-masse. Imagine a long table full of skeleton claws raised to varying heights. Very spooky. Very demure.

Love this skeleton hand candle holder. Goes perfect with the Threshold cauldron I ordered too. I don't plan on adjusting the height.

I first read the reviews and was put off and wasn't going to buy them. We'll then I was wondering around target as I do and saw them, I don't understand why people are complaining. I think they are sturdy and well made. I bought 2. The taper candles fit perfectly and are a really fun edition to my decor. I really thought they were great quality. Thank you Target!!!

It’s different and unique however it’s not worth the price. I agree with other customers in that the stick that raises the hand up should have been painted black. I won’t be using this feature due to the color difference. Just another holiday piece. It was well packaged though.

I'm disappointed it's not black. It's bronze colored. When I purchased this, I didn't plan to use the adjustable feature. With that being said, the taper extension is secure, so I have no concerns about using the extension with a lit candle.

Love the finish & look of the hand. I had ordered it not really understanding what it meant with the screw & it being adjustable. When I unscrewed and pulled the hand it’s just a skinny rod which would look ridiculous but I’d love to see what others think or do with it. Also it just comes as is to the packaging was kind of funny, just wrapped up in packing tape & packing paper. Not sure if it’s worth $20 but I do like the look of it.

The details of the hand itself are fairly decent but the raising and lowering mechanism is a sloppy mess and the parts of the arm where they come together are offset. If I decide to keep these (I got 2), I will most likely use some strong metallic epoxy and remove the screw, fill the hole sand it nicely and repaint the whole thing flat black. I will never be able to raise the arm because it's just a silver metal rod that looks terrible, and even if I were to paint the rod it would still look.... wrong. Not worth $20 considering I will have to alter it to make it acceptable and usable.

These are very good quality, comprable to Pottery Barn! Sturdy, well designed and interesting. Cannot wait to add them to my holiday decor! My only negative note is the adjustable rod for height adjustment is very thin, so these candle holders look odd when you adjust the height. But that's mirror for me as I like the look of the knob and I won't be adjusting the height. Don't hesitate, these are spooky, ooky and kooky!
