Too much salt

The new batches of skinny popcorn have way too much salt! I have always enjoyed skinny popcorn for the flavor and taste. Salt content is usually low. Have they increased the salt content recently?

Not great

Bought 2 bags of skinny pop Mini cakes, Sharp cheddar and Cinnamon sugar. Both were very tasteless and not crispy, kind of chewy, and they were new bags that I opened and tried right away so they had no chance to get soggy. I would never buy these again.

I have been enjoying your popcorn for a very long time but I have recently thrown out bags and bags. Why did you change the recipe and texture? It is now just like eating stale cardboard. I am so sad.

Mystery Bags

Sometimes it’s great and then we get bags that taste burnt, and underpopped. Had my hubby get up big bags and both were subpar and inedible. Lots of underpopped pieces that were hard to chew and burnt tasting. When this is good it’s great but when it’s bad it’s horrid and you can’t tell which you’ll get. So disappointing.

Are some bags rancid?

I have been eating Skinny Pop daily for years. Over the past couple of months at least 1 bag a week smells and tastes offensive. Am I smelling and tasting rancidity? Please figure this out.

Used to be great, what happened?

I buy 3+ bags a week of this stuff and I have for probably the past 3 years. It used to be perfectly cooked with big fluffy pieces. Now, the pieces are smaller and 80% of the bags are over cooked. I’ve had to throw away more than one bag because of the burned taste. I don’t know what changed but I need them to go back to what they were doing originally. If you can’t maintain the quality, stop coming up with new products.

Lacking!

This review is for single serve white cheddar. Bought these for work snacks. Really expensive, but cheaper than vending machine. Poor purchase! Tastes stale and gotta try hard to get any flavor, get a tiny bit of salt, no cheddar at all. Won't buy again.

I love this as a snack despite the inconsistent batches (I would buy it every day, if the consistency was spot on). It's synonymous with being in a bad relationship, when it's good, it's really, really good and when it's bad it's just plain bad. So every purchase is a gamble, much like getting a grab bag from the ice cream truck, you never know what you're going to get.

Total rip off, has gone permanently downhill

I've bought TONS of Skinny Pop. Used to be great, but it started to decline months ago (I may have even written a review then? Can't remember) and now it's just... consistently bad. Every bag I buy of late has been flavorless. And I buy a lot ... the last 15 (I am not exaggerating, I usually buy 5 at a time) large-size bags have had zero flavor. Zero flavor. Threw it all away. (And no, I don't have Covid taste loss ... the popcorn just has no salt or flavoring applied.) Extreme lack of quality control. Skinny Pop, you have lost a long-time high-volume customer until I see you publicly acknowledge/post that you've done SOMETHING in your production lines to fix this issue.

Musty moldy taste

The last bag of skinny pop I purchased had a moldy taste but not every bite. I googled “moldy taste skinny pop” and it lead me to their site with other reviews saying the same thing. Is there an explanation to this? If more than one person is tasting a moldy flavor shouldn’t a response be made fir everyone to see and not just to the person or the blanket response about how they care about the quality of their product. There has to be a reason.

I used to LOVE Skinnypop - like eat a whole 4.4 ounce bag in one sitting love - but the last bag I purchased smells absolutely horrible, like some type of strong pungent chemical. I was brave enough to try a bite, and it tastes just like it smells! My roommates both tried a bite and said that it tasted gross. This makes me so sad. As a gluten-free girl, this was my favorite go-to snack.

I absolutely love popcorn so when I found Skinny Pop it quickly became a regular fixture in my pantry. But lately the stuff isn’t edible. Out of the last 6 bags 4 were so salty it’s horrible. everyone in my family agrees. What are you trying to do Skinny Pop, turn me me against my favorite snack? Figure out what’s wrong in your production!
