Q: Does this bedspread shed?

A: My comforters shed immensely!!! I washed them twice and the shedding continues. My daughter wears contacts and it has become a huge problem for her. Help

I absolutely love this comforter. I haven’t had any issues with it shedding after washing and drying. It’s super soft and cozy but not to heavy.. It works perfectly for this California weather. Not only is it over all a great quality product it’s also very aesthetically pleasing. My husband and I finally have a comforter we BOTH love.

I had been obsessed with this comforter set after feeling it in store it was SO SOFT! About a year ago I purchased it online, and a year later it STILL sheds like crazy!! So I went to the reviews to see if others were having the same issues. When it arrived it didn’t seem to shed, but the after the first wash (following the instructions on the label) it lost its soft faux fur feel and feels more like a sherpa in some spots. Due to the pattern it wasn’t super noticeable until you feel the difference in textures. So I decided to keep it. I usually love Target’s quality but I give it 2 stars due to the insane amount of shedding and texture. Construction wise it has held up pretty well after a year of multiple washes so that’s a plus! I just wish my sheets weren’t always covered in fur, even my dog doesn’t shed THAT much!

I’m borderline obsessed with this comforter set. I do think it’s a bit on the warm side (I tend to sleep hot), but it’s so soft! It feels like sleeping in a cloud. It might be one of my all time favorite Target/home purchases!
