I remember having a soda stream in the kitchen when I was a child. Whilst the modern version is a sleek looking piece of equipment and super easy to use, it just doesnt give bubbles like the older version. Ive read the instructions, watched the videos but still somewhat disappointed with my barely bubbled water.
This was bought as a gift for my parents, they really love seltzers of all kinds so I thought this would be the most perfect gift for them. They absolutely love it and we have been making our own syrups to try with them.
It is very easy to use. Make sure to watch YouTube videos on how to use it correctly. I saw a lot of reviews complain about leaking, but that doesn’t happen if you use it correctly. Instead of pushing the button for a certain number of seconds, you should push it until you hear an air hiss. It will be longer the first time and much quicker the subsequent times. We (myself, my husband, and 2 teenage boys),are seltzer addicts and have reduced our waste significantly. And I actually love the taste more than Perrier, Bubbly, and all the other brands I’ve had. When I want flavor, I add like, lemon or grapefruit juice. My son uses a cola syrup to make soda instead of buying Coke. I love that you can vary the amount of carbonation. It is very easy to get refills of CO2. One tip is to buy a second so you always have one in hand when the other runs out.
