I had purchased a Sonia Kashuk eyelash curler in the past and I LOVED it. I had since run out of the refill pads and was going to purchase a new curler. My Target was out of stock. Then when I finally was able to find one Target no longer carried the curler I had previously. So, I purchased this one. BIG MISTAKE! It's awful. It's very loose and does not clamp/curl the eyelashes well. So, this is wasted $$$. Never again. I did find an eyelash curler that I love that will replace this one.
Attention long-time Sonia Kashuk eyelash curler users: it has changed (and not for the better!) I had been purchasing a new eyelash curler from Sonia each year (as I have read before that the mechanisms weaken and should be replaced regularly). I bought this "new" classic gold one and it is awful! Just returned it, as a matter of fact. The gap when you open it is at least double the size as last year's model and it does not give as good of a curl. It also seems to be shaped more in a straight line and less in a natural curve. I guess back to Sephora I go...
This is definitely not the "classic" original eyelash curler that was made by Sonia Kashuk. This one is cheap lightweight metal (not even sure if it is metal) and is awful. I still have my old original so I just have to keep buying this one for the refills I guess. The other brand refills don't fit the original. PLEASE go back to the original classic metal one Sonia Kashuk!!!
This is a tool I have skipped out on for years from many instances of pinching eyelids and pulling out eyelashes with other curlers. If I’m on the run I’d just rest my eyelashes against my fingers to curl after applying mascara. So far, this one has been no trouble. Simple, common design and grip. Nice, trendy color.
This was a great little eye-lash curler. The handle was not as substantial as ones I've used in the past, but it is a little more light weight (great for traveling). I don't use an eyelash curler on a regular basis, so a more basic model was just what I needed. The gold color was pretty and having a replacement pad was a nice perk.
