A: Hi, and thank you for your question! Sonos One itself plays in mono. So, to get a stereo experience you would need two of them. If you're looking for a larger sound experience, we might recommend getting the Sonos Five, which itself plays in stereo out of one speaker. It would be $100US more than x2 Sonos One, but you'll get two additional speakers and an incredible bass experience. Sonos Five can also be stereo paired in the future if you'd ever like.
A: Thanks for your inquiry. The Sonos One single speaker may be used in a room for full range sound. A second Sonos One can be used for two speaker stereo in the same room. The Sonos App is used to configure two units and access your wifi network for numerous streaming services and control of a whole house Sonos system.
