I was always told by a friend from another state (I couldn't try his PSVR) that you have to try it yourself to understand what the hoopla is all about. You can see videos and such on the internet, but it doesn't come close to doing any justice to what the VR can do. You really have to see it with your own eyes. The 3D and immersion experience is surreal. This has the 2nd version of the PSVR. The headphones plug directly into the headset and the wiring will be around the back of your head instead of hanging down. One less wire to worry about. The bundle comes with everything you need in it. Having both Move controllers helps open up the VR library for games that need/use it. The headset is comfortable and allows me to play with my prescription glasses on. As far as motion sickness goes, it is a thing on some games, but just remember not all games involve moving backgrounds. There are plenty of games that won't induce the chance of motion sickness. I've heard that you can ease yourself in regarding that until you get used to it. This is what I'm slowly doing now and it is getting better where I'm not impacted as much. Also, you can play with the PSVR without having the TV on or have someone else watch TV. The only negative I can say is the resolution inside the headset is definitely acceptable, but not super hi-def crystal clear. First time hookup, it feels like a ton of wires, but it's not too bad if you disconnect/connect it a few times to see how its hooked up. The wire connected to the headset runs long enough, but if you accidentally step on it and then try to move your head, it's gonna yank your head. You don't have to walk around while playing, but heed their warning and make sure you clear your play area just in case. Tips: The display inside the headset will be lower resolution than what is shown on the TV screen. Get some bandanas or headbands. You will sweat in it. So if you're sharing, having some wet wipes around would help. If you want to show it off: Superhot VR or Job Simulator are good ones to get first. They don't give motion sickness from moving backgrounds. Superhot is more physical and intense while Job Simulator is more tame, humorous, and actually fun to play. Each for different types of family member to try without getting sick. There are some free demos on like The Playroom VR or Playstation VR Demos apps on the PSN Store. If you like platformers and want to see what VR can do with those, the Robot Rescue demo is an excellent example. They are going to make a full game out of it. I'd also recommend the Thumper demo for rhythm game fans who like some trippy immersive visuals. (For old school anime fans, it reminds me of Neon Genesis Evangelion attacks from Angels with all the wavy tendrils and such). Another thing to showcase what VR does well is the Allumette short movie on the PSN Store (free). Just load it up and watch. There are plenty of things to play and use the VR for. It's a game changer on how you experience entertainment.

Took me a while to get used to the head set. I kept getting sick every now and then.(Also smacking my ceiling fan with the move controllers) The headset does make the area around your eyes sweat so clean yourself off every now and then. Only complaint I have is although it Is glasses accessible, it still feels off to have them on as well as the headset

Ok I got the package and the moment I opened it I started noticing things were missing. First it had the wrong model headset inside. Second it contained no printed materials or instructions about the headset. Third it was missing cords meant to connect the headset and processing unit to the playstation. This is the first item I've ever order from target I would like to be contacted by someone if that is at all possible.

I really enjoyed my PlayStation 4 and I was really interested in getting VR. I was reluctant to make the purchase at $349 when it went on sale for $249 I made the purchase right away. I have to say this thing is really amazing. It put you right in the game play. It's so Matrix. VERY COOL. HOWEVER. It made me physically ill. Immediately taking the helmet off after only 40 minutes of VR game play my heart was racing, I was dizzy, and felt nauseous. I thought perhaps it took a little getting used to so I tried it a few days later with the same results. Also It would be great if you could just plug the VR helmet into the PlayStation and that was it. Unfortunately that's not the case. Plan on adding a total 6 additional cables, a controller box and ghe having an additional power source nearby. In summary as Super Cool as this is.....MAKE SURE THAT 1. YOU TEST IT OUT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR TO SEE IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE AFTER EFFECTS OF THE VR GAME PLAY. 2. MAKE SURE IT WILL FIT WITHIN YOUR APPLICATION 3. IF YOU ANSWERED YES TO #1 & #2 GO AHEAD AND BUY IT CAUSE IT'S AWESOME .......JUST WAIT TILL IT'S ON SSLE FOR $249.00.

First off, everything about the PSVR is amazing. It works well, it's immersive. It's fun. I love it so much, that I purchased this as my 2nd VR set, because it's the sort of thing that's fun to experience with friends. So why is it missing the extra star? Skyrim VR. I love Skyrim. I love VR. But just like ranch dressing and ice cream, sometimes two things just don't go well together. The game can only be consumed in small amounts if you have even the slightest proneness motion sickness. It's a beautiful way to get sick, it really is. But because the game's programming wasn't changed all that much to compensate for VR, it'll throw you off a bit. But even with the game set aside, this bundle is the best deal out there to get all the hardware you need/want for VR. But take advantage of all the free PSVR games available for download, and try out some other games in Skyrim VR doesn't work for you.
