One side has fully stopped working within 6 months. I seldom used these headphones anyway but am disappointed with Sony’s build quality as of late. Microphones also introduce significant wind noise for “ambient sound” honestly these are pretty rubbish.

Had these for almost two years still hold up well. Good quality sound with decent noise cancelling. Only issue I've had is the fabric on the ear muffs has worn exposing the foam. However this is likely due to constant daily use on my part.

Ear pads and headband

Ear pads and headband rapidly started to wear after not even a year of continuous light use. Ear pads are torn to shreds and there's not any replacement for the headband. Overall the sound and everything is great and they cancel our noise well till the ear pads start getting worn. They are a bit quiet if you're in a really loud busy area.

I purchased these today as I am due to fly out on an 11hr flight to South Africa very soon. The last pair of headphones I bought from Sony was the MDR XB950AP which I LOVE, however I no longer am able to buy them and needed a worthy successor which packed the same punch. These, well... I wasn't raising my hopes too high as with trying any new product that you try to replace from older models. These sound crispy clear and the noise cancellation is perfect, could barely hear my own thoughts. The sound is exactly what you want from headphones especially when you want bass to be present. The only let down with these headphones is the built in microphone which is very low quality however for someone who is not using them for the microphone purpose this does not cause me any issue with the sound quality which is an expected AAA+ from Sony.

I was looking forward to getting these headphones for both the bass and the noise cancelling but I've been really disappointed with the noise cancelling. I don't know if it's just my pair as other reviews have been positive but I can fully hear conversations and noises even with noise cancelling turned on. Would recommend it for the bass.

However, your headset Bluetooth version is 5.2 and is backwards compatible with older versions of Bluetooth (including Bluetooth 5.0). But, your TV has to support A2DP Bluetooth profile to be able to be connected to any Bluetooth headset. Bought this for my birthday and are just in love with how good it sounds. I love drum and bass and the addition bass features on this really shows off. The power of ambience mode and noice cancelling just work perfectly for day to day life. Would 100% recommend to most considering it’s so affordable.

These are great noise canceling headphones. They are comfortable and the battery life is amazing. The reason for 3 stars is that it won’t connect to the app, so I can’t adjust the sound quality or base. I originally bought them for a long flight, but have been using them in the meantime with my laptop or tv and there has been a few movies I wish I could have made the adjustments in the app. But other than that it’s been reliable.

I've had them more than a year. One issue is the sound of wind noise. If its rainig they can get confused with the touch sensitive right cup. I am still unsure about how touse voice as I use them with an Android tablet, an iphone my laptop so should I say hey siri?, hey google? or "alexa" ?
