Q: Are these absorbent? Usually the towels that are soft are not.
A: I regret that has not been our experience. They act like polyester - soft, but not absorbent.

submitted byRegretful Purchase - 2 years agoA: So, maybe it's the color? I bought 2 of the lighter beige ones and LOVE them. They are totally absorbent. I liked them SO much I got 2 blue sets for guest bathrooms, and they feel more synthetic.

Q: Is Light Mauve the same as Marble Rose color for the Threshold Signature Spa Bath Towel?
A: The Light Mauve ordered online and the Rose Marble ARE the same. I purchased most pieces in store and needed 2 more washcloths to complete the set. The UPC from the Rose Marble purchased in-store matched the UPC of the Light Mauve ordered online. I hope this helps. :)

Q: Is this machine wash warm or cold?
A: I machine wash mine in hot water. I feel like it helps kill germs on towels. I have both the white with taupe stripe and the taupe color, and I haven't seen any color bleeding. But if you had a darker/more colorful set of towels, maybe hot water wouldn't be good.

Q: Do these shed (leave little bits of lint on you after using)?
A: these towels shed lot. even after 4 washes they continue to shed. Target support staff isn't being honest.

Q: Do the bath sheets have loops sewn in so you can place them on a hook?
A: THe ones I purchased IN STORE did have a loop sewn into them. Both the hand towel and the bath towel!

Q: Is the taupe stripe brownish or more pink? I'm looking for a neutral brownish gray color.
A: I'd say the taupe is actually more of cool, silvery beige. The online picture makes it look more golden/brown-toned, and it's not like that in person at all. I actually like the color in person better. I bought the white taupe stripe towels years ago, and the taupe really was a light brown color back then--and they're not like that anymore, totally different color. I prefer this newer silvery beige taupe a lot more.

Q: Should these be washed with bleach to keep them white?
A: I have the white ones with the taupe stripe, and I use a little bit of bleach. It hasn't faded the stripe, but I also wouldn't use too much.

Q: Is this towel made of microcotton? This apparently replaces the Fieldcrest Microcotton Spa Towel (based on Target's response to another question) but there is no mention of microcotton in the product description.
A: You're right, there is no mention of "MicroCotton" anywhere. The label just says "100% cotton." That doesn't necessarily mean it isn't MicroCotton (because MicroCotton is also made out of 100% cotton but just has longer fibers woven into long loops for a more absorbent and luxurious feel). These towels do feel pretty soft and luxurious, but I have no idea if they're MicroCotton or not.
