This is a nice, colorful set. The bowls all have the same design (as shown), the luncheon plates also all have the same design (as shown). The dinner plates are a watercolor, solid look: one pink, one green, one blue, and one yellow. The bowls are almost 9 in. in diameter and about 1.5 in. deep (perfect for salad), the luncheon plates are 8.75 in. in diameter and the dinner plate is 10.75 in. in diameter. Since mine won't fit on the upper rack of my dishwasher I placed them on the bottom and so far in both washes they came out just fine. Only used twice so far, but they are perfect for us. I just wish they had some smaller bowls also with this set for fruit or dessert foods.
