These lamps are beautifully made, with a base that is a soft and matte black, with a pottery inspired finish and texture, without looking rustic at all. In fact I think they're classy and elegan, and I relish that they don't have a glossy ceramic finish. The pyramid shade is a nice touch and for our narrow nightstand having this shade means we save on space without comprising on having a generously sized statement piece. These lamps ahve totlaly elevated our nightstand game.

Great statement lamps! The pieces that hold the shade can be straightened to ensure the lampshades sit correctly. They are dimmable, which is a great feature. The base is textured and adds to their uniqueness.

I’ve looked at many many lamps with a similar style for much higher price points. This is a great affordable option if you can get your hands on one while it’s in stock, or if you get one that’s not lopsided or defective. Thanks for the other reviewers who mentioned being disappointed after receiving a wonky lampshade, only to not be able to find an exchange because it later sold out. So I purchased 4 and kept the 2 best looking ones. I love the texture of the base and the streamlined silhouette. It goes really nicely with my bed set. I’m also pleasantly surprised that the color is a dark charcoal, not black. (In the pictures they looked black to me.) I’m glad this one came with lightbulbs — the fancy kind. I love that the light can be dimmed or brightened to my preference! This is a great McGee product if you’re going for that look!

This lamp has great texture and a crisp look, but the socket is off-center so the harp is off-center so the perfectly square lamp shade is—you guessed it—off-center. I picked it up in store so it wasn't damaged during transit, just not terribly well constructed.

Honestly, this lamp is beautiful. However it’s incredibly frustrating that 1. I have gone through 3 replacements already (all in store) and 2. I have to go to several targets to get lucky to even find a replacement. For all the work I’m doing I should have just gotten a CB2 lamp. I’m knocking off 2 stars for the inconvenience.
