As with many other reviews - this is poorly constructed and the joint between the basket and handle is extremely weak. Bought this specificially for catching coffee grounds when cleaning my French press; have used it perhaps 30 times since I bought it, and tapping the handle on the trash can was enough to break the basket off. Complete shame since it's a nice size, convenient, looks nice, and is affordable - but none of that matters when it can't survive light use.

I brought this stainer it look strong but unfortunately the handle is broke in a month. The handle is easy to hold but it is heavier than stainer so it doesn’t stay in cup without holding it.

I have tried this same strainer twice, and both times, the handle has snapped off from the strainer. It appears that the handle is attached with glue, rather than being welded or securely attached. Both times, the straw that broke the camel's back was handwashing the strainer, which spontaneously broke into two pieces. My first strainer lasted about 4 months. The second one lasted 6 months. Not sturdy at all.

I purchased this particular strainer because it’s mentioned that it’s 3” but it doesn’t seems to be 3, it’s huge and it’s heavy too.! Sorry, but won’t be recommending this to anyone.!

Needed an effective tea strainer at the vacation house. This was priced right and the mesh is doing a good job at filtering out tea leaves between the pot and my cup. It will also serve well for small batch sauces that need straining. Washed up well in dishwasher. Would purchase again.

Decently constructed for the price but the holes were not as fine as I need them to be. Ok for most teas, but not fine enough for coffee or skimming floaters in broth. Also some discoloration and scratches on the metal. Be wary of having it shipped, it wasn’t packed very well and the netting got squished. If you care for it to be perfectly round, pick it up in store.
