It's unfortunate that with so few strong female characters available for young girls to dress up as on Halloween that this costume wasn't better quality. I was happy to find this online because although Rey was sold in stores, most of my other options were princesses and "sexy" versions of superheros and other oddities. Anyone who knows the character knows that her headpiece is the most important part of the outfit. The one we received didn't resemble the photo at all and was made from some light spongy material that just didn't sit or look right on my daughter's head. I would have paid more for something that was slightly less flimsy and cheap. I guess it's back to the drawing board... You should have higher standards Disney.
The worst part was the headdress, which is one-sided and pressed into incredibly cheap plastic like a party mask. I've used paper plates that were higher quality than this. The whole thing ended up in the trash.
I expect these packaged costumes to be cheap, but I was hoping we could use this one as a starting point. But no part of it is usable. The biggest disappointment is the head piece, which is made like a paper plate (pressed out of cheap plastic, hollow on the back) and looks ridiculous and sad in real life. The whole thing ended up in the garbage. Such a waste of money. I wish Target was a little more selective with their stock.
