Why would coffee have a chemical aftertaste?

We made one pot and threw the whole bag out. Both of us were Disturbed by the flavor of chemicals. Husband said “tastes like gas station coffee” which I always thought meant “over-calcified coffee machine” sour, but we made this as a pour-over Chemex. I have never thrown away coffee before.

Pumpkin Spice ground coffe

Coffee is very weak almost no pumpkin spice flavor. The only way I can describe it brown water with a very slight hint of pumpkin spice.

Better in other brands

I laugh at reviews bc if you look at the date of written it is back in the summer, it wasn’t available:) paid reviews!!! My coffee is chemical tasting and no pumpkin flavor. I did find one that has a natural pumpkin flavor, Peet’s but as in this Starbucks coffee and others, use more than called for bc the stronger amount of coffee the flavor comes through. I use half milk/coffee and cold foam or whatever pumpkin flavor I have and pour over ice for a pick me up afternoon treat! Starbucks is usually better but missed this time! Try Peet’s kcups first and compare. You can see the spices in the loose coffee in the Peet’s,not in Starbucks. I will keep searching or master my recipes!

Its not the same.

Its disgusting. Something has changed. Great values version tasted better, which has never happened for me before with this specific product. I hope next years will be back to normal.. But for this year, I will be trying different brands.

Would not buy again. I love their PSL in the store and of course I know this would not taste the same, however, I don't taste and PSL flavors and on top of that it is a light roast, so you barley get any coffee flavor. Save your money and just get a PSL at the store or add your own flavors and spices to your own coffee at home.

2024's version is nasty

Not sure why Starbucks changes their "recipe" but 2024 is the year of nasty pumpkin spice. Just gross, harsh, chemical taste. All of their flavors seemed to change this year, and I'm moving on. Yuck.

Ready for Fall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried Starbucks Pumpkin Spice at their store and it's usually one of my go to fall favorites. I was excited to have it now in Keurig form. I can taste the pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. It makes me nostalgic for fall. I enjoy it the most on the rare nights that it's cold because of how warm it makes me feel. I would definitely buy a box once the fall starts. #freesample
