In Latin America, coffee farms are often run by families, who've built their own homes on the same land where their coffee grows. We've sipped coffee with these farmers for decades, sitting on their verandas, overlooking the lush beauty of the coffee trees out in the distance. Most times, it was a lightly roasted coffee like this one. It took us more than 80 tries to get it right-mellow and flavorful with a nice softness.
Bought this on the 23rd at the West Jordan, Utah location. Thought they tasted weird all week. Just noticed it’s been expired since September. Dunkin’ Donuts one since the 1st. Last place you check an expiration(Especially Starbucks) would be target, well my target sense of security is gone. Called the store and she seemed super bugged I called and said she would give me a fresh bag if I came in
These beans are filled with flavor and have a buttery, brown sugar taste when brewed as espresso. I add the sugar in the carafe first and let the espresso brew over the beans and it makes for a very sweet, mellow, and tasty latte. Definitely purchase these beans if you love a mellow rather than bitter coffee!
I must have got a bad batch because my experience was very different than the other reviewers. To me, this coffee was neither mellow or soft as described on the package, and it tasted like medium/dark roast. It had high acid content and a strong aftertaste. The package does state that it is a blend. I learned on a tour of a coffee plantation that many companies blend low quality beans to reduce cost. Maybe my bag was not "blended" enough. It is no better than any cheap coffee on the market.
