My son is in 1st grade and loves this backpack. It fits him well and he can use it for another year. It's so far been durable and I love how there's pockets in the bag itself for his glasses, papers etc. It's big enough for him to fit his lunch bag (it matches the bag) and his water bottle with space left over. We absolutely LOVE this backpack. My 1st grade daughter has the leopard print, which is adorable. The colors are vibrant and really fun! She has used it all summer to bring her belongings to grandparents and friends houses without any issue. So far it has held up really well. They show in the pictures there’s a lunch box, but it doesn’t come with the backpack. It’s a little over priced in my opinion since it doesn’t at least have the lunch box.

This is a sturdy backpack. It’s held up well this summer as our swim backpack. I do wish it had more pockets to organize as the internal pockets are really small and hardly useful. This bag is perfect for my 3rd grader. It’s the right size and color for him. The zippers are so easy to open and close and does not snag. The inside has one big compartment and two smaller ones. The straps are padded to make it comfortable and it also has chest clips to keep the bag secure. I like that the backpack is lightweight and has beautiful designs on it. This is a great backpack for my son. it's bright, fun and "cool" as my son described it. He loves the bolts as they remind him of good favorite character flash. As a mom I love this back pack because it has a check clip to ensure the backpack isn't falling off and also the amount of pockets and space inside! It's so easy spotting my son when he's getting out of school with the backpack

This is a nice, solid backpack. It's a good size for both our 3 and 7 year olds to wear. We have been using it mostly for transporting books and toys and games back and forth to the cabin. The front zip pocket is nice and roomy, although has no other netting or further compartments within it. The main section of the bag has canvas separation piece for books or tablets in the back and a couple of other small pockets within to put pencils or other gear. The two outer side pockets are nice, but ususally you would think to put a water bottle there, but only fairly skinny water bottles fit (see picture for example), so if you have a bigger, bulkier water bottle for your kid - they probably won't fit, since there is no stretchiness or give to those outer side pockets. Bottom line: It's a great vacation or weekend backpack for a trip, but if you're looking for something for every day school use, I think the lack of pockets and separate compartments - along with the small size of the water bottle pockets on the side - make this a little bit limited. My boys love the bolt design. It is a little large for preschoolers, but perfect for elementary schoolers. The buckle strap helps to keep it from sliding off. The material is lightweight and wipeable. The side pockets fit a junior 12oz water bottle, but I wish it had a little elastic/non-slip material for the water bottle pockets. My son loved this bright and lightweight backpack! (we have the color block version). Spacious, water bottle pockets on the sides, the maternity is easily wiped clean (inside and out). My son is in elementary so has a variety of notebooks and folders that come back and forth from school so having the backpack be naturally lightweight is great. I love the matching lunchbox/backpack set! We have the Wave pattern, which is so cute. The backpack seems well made and its not bulky or heavy and has so many pockets to keep everything organized. This is a great backpack for my first grader! She received the leopard print and loved the colors on it. There are two pockets on the sides to hold water bottles. They do not have much stretch to them, so I was nervous about her refillable water bottles fitting. But they did fit and it keeps it snug so they won't fall out. She doesn't like the chest strap, but I'm sure once the backpack starts filling up more, it may help keep everything balanced. The inside is white with STATE logo all around. I'm not a fan of white with little ones, but it is a wipeable material. It's got great pockets inside as well. This backpack works great for us! I have a 3 year old, so this is perfect for bringing all of his stuff back and forth to daycare or for an overnight stay with grandparents. We have used it for several weeks now and have had zero issues with it. It is well made and feels like it will hold up for quite a while. We also love the matching lunchbox! Definitely recommend. We love this backpack! The pattern is great (colorblock)-perfect amount of whimsy and sweetness for a child but not too childish. My son is almost 5 and I know this pattern will "grow" with him. It feels like a step up from his preschool back pack in that way. The size is perfect (especially the length) for his height and we love all of the pockets (especially the side ones for water and other accessories). The zippers work great, and we love how lightweight yet durable it is.
