Q: Can this be used for a cheap hamster cage, or should I use a different bin? I need one that is nice and big and fits a hamster comfortably.
A: I use the 110 quart version of this for my hamster. It is deep enough to use without the lid, even with bedding going 8 inches up so she can burrow and tunnel. She loves it.

A: The dimensions in the previous answers are OUTSIDE dimensions. The bottom of the container on the inside is only 13 1/4" x 19 1/2".

Q: Is this protected against ocassional moisture, droplets, or rain?
A: Hello Gaziz, the Sterilite 66 Qt ClearView Latch Box is not waterproof, air tight or bug proof, but the cover snaps on securely to the base to keep contents protected.

Q: Safe for freezer food storage?
A: Hello Lindees, the Sterilite 66 Qt ClearView Latch Box is made of FDA food safe grade plastics that are non-toxic. These plastics do not contain PVC's, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bishphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals. Nor do we use them in the manufacturing process of our items. The storage box can withstand temperatures of as high as 180 degrees Fahrenheit and as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit.

A: Hi Joy! The 66 Qt. ClearView Latch Box was designed for general household use, it is not waterproof and does not contain UV protection. Rain, snow, and other weather can get into the storage box.

Most household storage purposes do not require suggested weight limitations. Our products have not been specifically tested for various weight potential, and we suggest consumers use good judgment and not overload them or stack more than three high. This could cause distortion or eventual damage. When storing items away, use good judgment and be mindful of the weight in each tote and place the heaviest tote on the bottom.
