Q: Can this be used for a cheap hamster cage, or should I use a different bin? I need one that is nice and big and fits a hamster comfortably.
A: Thank you for your question. Sterilite manufactures products for general household storage use, using only high quality FDA food safe grade plastics that are non-toxic. We do not necessarily recommend it for housing any type of pet.

submitted byCaptain - 10 months agoA: I use the 110 quart version of this for my hamster. It is deep enough to use without the lid, even with bedding going 8 inches up so she can burrow and tunnel. She loves it.

submitted byGelinho - 2 years agoA: The dimensions in the previous answers are OUTSIDE dimensions. The bottom of the container on the inside is only 13 1/4" x 19 1/2".

A: Hello D, the storages boxes were not designed to be stacked but they can be stacked with the 64 Qt Latching Box on top of the 66 Qt ClearView Latchh Box.

Q: I need a clear plastic container to put my outdoor cushions in and will be stored in my yard. Will this hold up in the rain and the summer temps of up to 110?
A: Hello DesertGal, the Sterilite 66 Qt ClearView Latch Box was designed for general household use, it is not waterproof and does not contain UV protection. Rain, snow, and other weather can get into the storage box. It is made of polypropylene plastic, and can withstand temperatures as high as 180 degrees Fahrenheit and as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit. At the higher temperatures, the plastic can eventually become flexible and could warp or deform. At colder temperatures, the plastic may become brittle and may crack or rupture.
