Q: Does Sterilite make a wastebasket that actually fits the 13-gallon plastic bags? I have one and I always need to stretch the 13-gallon bags. If the top were 1-2 inches smaller, it would be ideal.

A: Thanks for your question. The opening of many of our wastebaskets are large enough to securely hold the trash liner in place ensuring the weight of the wastebasket contents do not pull the bag off the rim of the wastebasket.

Does the basic job of a trash can. Air gets stuck under the 13 gallon bag and the lid refuses to close without extra effort. I guess you get what you pay for!

You will find 13 gallon trash bags at Target and they will not fit this 13.2 gallon trash can. What ends up happening is that your trash bag will rip. It’s a terrible trash can size if the most common trash bag rims won’t fit it.

Before purchasing this ask yourself, do you like fruit flies? House flies? I've had this trash can for a year and for the last year I have had the worst problem with flying insects inside my home. Also, kitchen bags barely fit.

This is the only affordable can we could find to fit in our smallish pantry. I like that it holds 13 gallons and the swing top works as it should. The only reason I removed 1 star is that the swing top opening could be a little wider. Nitpicky perhaps, but it would help so people don't have to remove the top for larger items.
