Tedious to put together with the provided Allen wrench. Ordered 4 and 2/4 arrived with cracks near pre-drilled holes. Cracked at point of connection when installing bolt. Hardware did not always line up with pre-drilled holes.

A good choice for my kitchen island. They were very hard to assemble and some of the tan parts had black marks, like in other reviews. I bought them on sale so I'm pleased with the purchase and look it adds.

Extremey pleased with these stools. I bought them because I wanted stools with backs for comfort and that's sturdy to stand a range of body types/sizes. We have a long island so I didn't want to pay $400/chair like at Pottery Barn. This checks off the boxes.

As is most of Target furniture, the build is not for the faint of the heart. But when it’s a budget piece made with quality ingredients, you pay somehow. In this case it’s with skill and sweat. That being said, the pay off is well worth it. The color is a mid century warm tone as one would expect for a piece with this design. Those complaining must not be familiar with mid century design. I think the website shows the tone clearly, I expected what I’m seeing in person. The quality once built is super sturdy. We don’t play light with our furniture. I have two kids, I stand on them, they’ve been knocked over: they’ve survived. As for how they match other woven and natural fibers. My entire house is woven and natural woods and cream tones. They look lovely and not at all “cheap” as described by another reviewer. As with all design, generally a color needs representation in more then one location. I balance the warm tone with terracotta pottery for example. The stools are timeless and have zero regrets. Just don’t buy them if you don’t know how to build things or can’t problem solve budget manufacturing quarks.

The pictures look great and honestly I read the poor reviews and said to myself "they can be wrong". I was so wrong, target should NOT sell these chairs. They are horrible quality and craftsmanship. STAY AWAY. I tried yo return them at the store but Target has horrible customer service. The return counter saw the quality and said oh wow that's bad but you have to disassemble them and put them back in the box before they can return.

We’ve had these stools for 5 months now with daily use. Still in wonderful condition, even with toddlers. The wood stain on the brown is lovely. The woven parts are terribly orange. It’s disappointing because it ruins the chair for me. Impossible to match with any other woven fibers and makes them look cheap. That being said, we’ve kept them because the quality can’t be beat for the price and the frame is solid. Tough to come by with kids. We’ve got high cabinetry and I frequently stand on them to reach things off our top shelves. They’ve held up. I’d recommend ordering one extra, if your budget allows. As with most target furniture there is a quality control issue with these. When they work they are really really good, but don’t think you don’t have to work for this affordable price tag. We took back a chair of broken pieces that we removed and swapped out of other boxes. Ordered 4, needed and kept 3, the fourth returned chair was mostly broken pieces from other chairs we had to swap out. Unfortunate but worth the effort for us considering we paid all in for 3 chairs the price of one elsewhere.

Don’t do it. I desperately wanted to love these stools. I ordered 5 of these for my kitchen. I put one together and tested it before assembling all of them. I’m a very petite woman and within a week, I broke the foot rest bar on the stool (I was only resting my feet on it). I opened the other 4 boxes and discovered every one either had a broken piece of wood or defect on the seat. Even if you were able to get an unbroken stool, I can’t imagine they would hold up for long. I love the look of these and studio McGee, but the quality is unacceptable. Don’t waste your time! Target - PLEASE figure out quality control of your manufacturers. I’m upset at the terrible quality of your furniture lately.

Mixed Quality, Nice Style
4 out of 5 stars
GreatScott - 1 year ago, Verified purchaser
These chairs are a mixed bag. I ordered 4 of these in the end. There were enough parts of 3 to make 3 good enough counter stools. A crossbar arrived badly cracked, some of the stain was applied unevenly on multiple pieces, and the wicker was not always woven well. When you get a good chair it is great! Good style, good quality, decently comfy for a wicker chair. But they aren't all good chairs (bad quality control). If you are willing to sift through the pieces and return some bad chairs, order it. If you are the type to let returns sit in your house, don't waste your time.

I can’t even believe these were shipped out. I ordered four stools and when I opened the first and saw that it was stained and scratched I figured it was a fluke. Nope. I opened the next 3 to find out each was worse than the one before. Staples sticking out, rattan peeling and pulling apart. Absolute trash. Will be finding replacements elsewhere. Target needs to get their QC department under control as I can’t believe someone signed off on these. Unbelievably disappointed.

I love these stools! And for the price it’s a steal! As other reviewers wrote, assembly is not that easy but my husband made it work. Two of my stools had minor imperfections. One had a piece of wood popping through the fibers but I was able to cut it off. The other had a little green paint on the base that I cleaned off. I know that I could’ve probably exchanged them but My husband had already assembled them and it was an easy fix! Stools are so expensive and Im so happy I found these cute little stools!

I was so excited when I found these on Target’s site and immediately signed up to be notified when they were back in stock! A few days later, I get the notification and jump at ordering four of these counter stools. They look beautiful (online). Upon assembly, I noticed that the wood is cracked all over, does not have an even coat of stain, pieces do not line up properly, and the seat itself is fraying at the edges (see photos). Once fully assembled, the stools do not sit evenly on the floor and wobble, they’re incredibly uncomfortable and hard (not what I was expecting, since usually ruched woven seats are comfortable and have a slight sag to them - though this is NOT the case with these). Sadly, I’ll be returning them due to poor quality control and overall uncomfortableness. If these catch your eye and you want to order them, I’d avoid purchasing.
