Stay COOL or WARM and breathe fresher air with the new WA-9061H unit. Enjoy a comfortable year-round environment with an air conditioner and heater unit. Cooling, dehumidifying and fan features all in one. Powered by 9,000BTU cooling (Estimated SACC*: 5,800BTU) and 8,500BTU heating capacity, it ideally cools or heats an area up to 250sq.ft.
Received on June 2nd, live in the midwest. We have an approximate 100-120 foot small outbuilding that we are trying to keep cool and heated that my daughter houses 3 guinea pigs and a rabbit in. In the summer, the AC couldn't begin to cool the space down during the hotter spells (so we had to add a ceiling fan and an oscillating fan then), but the heater part is SO much worse because it doesn't seem to work AT ALL. A few weeks ago we invested in fully insulating the space hoping that the heater would be able to keep up then, but no, unfortunately a small $30 space heater is working in there much better then when we had this $350 unit operating. Our fault for holding onto it for so long, it's too late to return it to Target and the warranty instructions with Sunpentown say that we would have to pay for shipping for them to repair the item- as it is quite heavy, it doesn't seem financially worth all of that, especially since it never worked well out of the box, I feel like it is just a sub-par product to begin with. We'll be investing in a bigger space heater for the rest of this winter and buying a separate AC unit come next spring and unfortunately, junking this $350 waste of money. :/
Only been using it for a few days. The first 3-5 degrees from 85 down to about 80 goes really quick, 20-30 minutes in my 210 sq ft room. Once it gets under 80 is where it struggles. I can't get it to go below 75 degrees even after 4-5 hours. The machine is a little loud. I have to turn up the TV to overpower the sound.
