The award-winning SwaddleMe® Original Swaddle adjustable infant wrap provides safe & easy swaddling until baby can roll over. Swaddling helps keep babies sleeping snug and cozy as it recreates the snugness of the womb so babies startle less and stay asleep longer. Babies also sleep safer by replacing loose bedding in the crib. The SwaddleMe® line of sleep products has been designed and tested by SAFE SLEEP experts to keep your baby snug, safe, and comfy. Because when your baby sleeps better, you sleep better.
I love these swaddles! I have a very wiggly one month old baby, and they keep him in a little burrito (most of the time.) Sometimes he still manages to get his hands out, but that will happen with any swaddle depending on how your baby is. We used the 0-3 month size from the time he was born (7 lb 13 oz), and it fit well, but now at 5 weeks they’re a little snug. He’s 9 lbs 8 oz and 21 inches long. If his legs are straight, his feet almost touch the bottom. We may be sizing up to 3-6 months soon!
I like that the top panel has a wide range of fabric to attach the Velcro too. This means it will fit whether you have a smaller or bigger baby. Sometimes it is difficult to line up the first Velcro attachment to where the second one will easily go on without being too tight, but after some practice it’s easier.
I have these and the luxe version (which has a zipper for diaper changes) and noticed that this fabric doesn’t pill when washed like it has with the luxe.
You’ll need more than one, so the 3 pack is a great value. We have 4 of these, and 2 other swaddles, and that number works well.
I really wanted to love these. Cute designs look easy to use and 3 for a great price. But my daughter hates them. She’s a month old and bought them when she was a week old. I don’t know why she doesn’t like these but loves other swaddles.
Our baby likes swaddling enough that we gave these a try rather than having to redo a blanket swaddle every night. The Velcro was a life saver and helped us to get a tight swaddle in much less time, while positioning our baby’s arms/hands how he liked to have them, which has been great!
Our only complaint and reason for docking a star is that they seemed to shrink a bit after the first wash and it made them fit inconsistently - there was one that we could still get to fit well while the other two were too small and became a struggle to get on. We just did laundry again and now the single one that was working is also on the edge of being too small. We were careful to use the delicate cycle to help avoid any potential shrinking but still experienced it.
I have twins and was excited for the value of this product. Unfortunately, I cannot wrap these around my less than 10lb babies. Waste of money since I already washed them because I didn't think my babies needed to try on a swaddle.
Also, the velcro is extremely loud (the part I can get latched!) Not a great feature when trying to do a sneaky diaper change at 2am. Both babies startled awake no matter how gently or slowly I tried to separate the pieces.
I love the ease and convenience of the design and the velcro, but I'm not a fan of the fabric. Yes, it's very soft, but it's stretchy and has some give to it, which allows my wiggly daughter to move around in it and work her way down in the swaddle so that the top is over her mouth and near her nose. For that reason, I'm not comfortable using this original swaddle overnight for fear of suffocation. My husband and I prefer the "luxe" version with the zipper because the fabric doesn't stretch.
