This backpack is a streamlined upgrade of SwissGear’s signature travel bags. Simply put, it is light – in appearance and construction. Yet, this does not make it any less reliable. The ruck features a roomy main compartment that it is padded to protect your gear; an organizer pocket for cell phones, cords, chargers, ID cards and pens; two side mesh pockets that can hold a water bottles of various dimensions; a laptop sleeve as well as an integrated tablet pouch. With padded, ergonomic shoulder straps, this backpack brings traveling to a whole new level of comfort.

A: It’s on the smaller size but FYI it does not fit any laptops bigger the. Standard 15.7”

I've been using this backpack near daily for over 5 years to carry my 15" laptop, notebooks and books, two water bottles, and chargers. The multitude of internal pockets has been great for organization-- I use the internal pen pockets to hold fountain pens. The main pocket has enough room for a change of clothes, yet it is not so big that I can't bike with it comfortably. There is very little wear, except for a small tear in the side netting which hasn't given me any problems.

I placed a restock notification on the canvas bag with tan leather because I can’t find anything more perfect for my boyfriend. It is such good quality, has so many useful compartments and he loves it. It has the strap for travel across the back which is perfect for a roller carryon.

The back is very stiff and is not perfectly large-rectangled bodied as in the picture. It flattens out very much unless it is stuffed with something to give it a rectangle look. The material is very stiff and does not budge. The handles are very sturdy.

I have used this backpack for the better half of a year and have no complaints. The big zipper opens the bag up like a book for easy access to pack and unpack. There is a hidden zippers on the inside that I store a airtag in. I haven't even used it to its full potential and I love it. The camo while not the most flattering, its subtle and stylish.

I’ve had this backpack for 4-5 years and it’s great. It’s durable and perfect for air travel. Washes nicely as well. I have the light gray color and it goes with virtually everything. Comfy to wear and fits under airplane seats well. It has just enough zippers and compartments. I know it will last several more years.

I bought this backpack a month ago, and it's a good product overall. It is sturdy and easy to carry. However, I chose this backpack because it says that there's a sleeve which can fit a 16-inch laptop. But I put my laptop in the 16-inch Swissgear case, and the case did not fit in the sleeve. So that's a bit disappointing.

I bought this backpack 6 years ago and the zipper is starting to go, so I just got this new one. It looks identical, except for a logo, which has gotten even more discreet. I'm hopeful that the quality is the same.

I bought this laptop a few months ago to carry my work laptop to and from home in. I ended up using to take my home laptop to and from our boat and enjoyed having a nice lightweight backpack to haul around my computer at the marina. Since I purchases a second power supply, mouse and keyboard for both my home and the boat, I simply put the laptop in the computer and transfer it between the two locations. I keep a few spare cables and accessories in the bag as well (one can never have too many cell phone charging cables).

This is not a terrible bag -- I wish there were more components or "slits" for cable storage in the front compartment of the backpack. Also, I should've researched what the word "tarpaulin" meant. I was expecting the exterior material to be soft not plastic. It's taken some time to break it in as everything feels so tight to fit into. Quality is great, just not was I was expecting.

I bought this backpack to replace the one I had been using. I travel some and I like to bring my keyboard with me while working onsite for my projects. This backpack has tons of room and my keyboard fits nicely without stressing the zipper. I have no concerns that this backpack will last a long time. Plus it’s beautiful!!

i like the backpack. although it is small. not gonna rate the company poorly for it because it is my own fault for not making sure i understood the description. I work full time and go to school part time, so i was needing something that can comfortably fit my school laptop and my work laptop and a few notebooks. this is not it lol. comfortably fits one laptop and maybe 2 notebooks. not a lot of space if you wanted to use this bookbag for traveling (clothes, toiletries, etc).

This is my second Swiss gear backpack. I loved my first one. It lasted me over 13 years. This new one doesn’t disappoint. The padding on the shoulders is super comfortable. The functionality of the backpack are great. I can fit my MacBook, iPad, chargers, 3 notebooks and still have space. Overall great quality for a great price! Hope it lasts as long as my first one.
