Duffels rarely look that good. This SWISSGEAR bag flaunts a large, soft body that can accommodate a significant load and provide comfortable carry. A zippered top peels away for easy packing. External side pockets gulp up small items. An easy-access ID pouch securely stores cards and ID. A padded shoulder strap, together with a carry handle, ensures the duffel is gentle on the torso. The bag is simple in construction but smart in convenience and functionality.
I used to be a luggage buyer for a major department store and I never once fell in love with a suitcase before these. I bought the large and small in white. I absolutely love the style. I didn't even really need a new set of luggage but I had to have these. Anyway, I just got back from three weeks in five countries in Asia and I checked the big bag. It is still looking like new. I'm sure if I study it closely I could find a scratch, but that would only be natural - people throw luggage around. Nothing fell apart or behaved in a way that it shouldn't. The bag still looks great. I'm looking forward to a very long term, loving (well, me loving IT) relationship with this set. It's absolutely gorgeous and super affordable and accessible. Also, I find the larger bag has lots of compartments for carrying things. I like how the pockets are clear so you can see what's inside, and I like that I can zip off one half of the bag. I used this when I packed something I thought customs might want to check on the other side - I zipped the items I wanted to be more modest about behind the other side so they wouldn't fall out.
I can say with full confidence that I love my trunk styled suitcase. I was looking for something that was both aesthetically pleasing but could survive travel. In the course of my one month trip across Europe, this baby lived through: 10 airplanes, 4 ferries, and more trains/ metros/ cars I can even begin to think about. Also, it persevered against all odds with the vast amount of cobble stoned pathways that I wheeled it through while walking from my hotels to the next mode of transportation. I will say that I did baby the wheels ( I was for sure not going to end up with a broken wheel and have to carry it everywhere). So whenever the walkway was really bad I did lift up more of the weight. I truly love this thing and it shows minimal markings from being shoved or thrown, most of which was easily wiped away. I bought mine on one of the many sales this suitcase has and would recommend buying it then if possible!
I wanted a stylish, yet sturdy bag and this delivered. Everything about it is great. From the interior space, easy glide wheels and attractiveness. It’s more than I expected to spend for a likely one time use (I’m usually an avid carryon bag traveler) but it’s worth it.
Early the morning of an international trip, zipper failed on the 20 year old trusty rolling duffle! Jumped on Target online, found great selection of suitable, reasonable priced bags and made tracks for the store. Picked up two items -- this nostalgic Swiss Gear Hardside 19" and a rolling duffle set (to be shared among family). (Never got to take this Swiss Gear case on the trip -- spouse claimed it the second it came in the house!) After spending a week with this carry-on, spouse had to have the 26" Trunk, too! These are spacious, light-weight yet strong and great looking cases! (Spouse admits to coveting this fashionable Swiss Gear 19" case since spotting it standing in a hotel check-in line a year ago!) And, the 20-somethings in the household are very interested in using them! Just a perfect combination of lightweight, durable materials, cool design and function.
My husband has the brown and I have the blush. We love them. They hold so much and hold up so well to our frequent travels. I am actually having to buy another because I tripped and fell on mine, breaking the retractable handle. It was 100% my fault, not the suitcase or handle. I can't make up my mind if I want the white or blush now!
I bought the on board smaller one in store and when I got home I kicked myself for not buying the big one so I got it on line :) this luggage is absolutely beautiful. Makes a nice change from all the other dull boring looking cases.
