Q: How deep is the inside of each side of pack when fully opened? Trying to get an idea of how much can fit in - particularly on the side with shoulder straps.

I bought this bag for a trip to Paris and weekend vacations. Unfortunately the zipper for small items on the top separated from the bag. After a week of dealing with this now unusable pocket that is left open, I reached out to Swiss gear and they warrantied my bag! I am extremely happy I went with a reputable company like Swiss gear and will definitely get my moneys worth out of this replacement!

I bought this backpack about 2 months ago and have been absolutely happy with it. I use it for going to our Wellness Center, where I bring a change of clothes and toiletries for my post workout shower. This is the perfect backpack for my use. I have used this backpack for the better half of a year and have no complaints. The big zipper opens the bag up like a book for easy access to pack and unpack. There is a hidden zippers on the inside that I store a airtag in. I haven't even used it to its full potential and I love it. The camo while not the most flattering, its subtle and stylish
Lasted 8 years before the zipper wore out!

This has been my main laptop/travel backpack for the past 8 years. It's come with me everywhere, on planes, trains, cars and buses, across four continents, to the office, on vacations and business trips. It's lightweight enough for daily use, but roomy enough for a 2-night trip with no other luggage. After eight years of heavy use, the zipper on the laptop compartment has finally started to come unstitched in a way I'm not sure I can repair, so I'm now reluctantly giving it up. But it was an awesome backpack while it lasted!

We were travelling on a budget airline and needed the max size personal bag so we could avoid fees. I bought this for my son and I bought a different one for myself ( my bag was coowoz Large Travel Backpack on amazon) His held a little less than mine, his felt a bit easier to carry BUT it didn't have a flat bottom so whenever he put it on the ground it fell over, which is more of a pain than you would think. Also I didn't like the extra pocket situation, the pocket on the front where you would store passport, cords, phone, things you need access to, was tiny and only held a cord. Then the rest of the space was a side pocket which was just awkward. I liked my amazon bag better for easier access to items even if it was alittle less easy to carry, it wasn't bad. This maybe a better school backpack or laptop bag, I can't say for sure since we didn't use it for that.

Love this bag for traveling. It fits under plane seats. It’s easy to carry, perfect for packing. I’ve been using this bag for about 5 years without any problems and traveled with it almost every weekend for about 3 of this years.

When you travel on a cheap airline and you can have ONE personal item? This is it. It holds computers, cords, glasses, travel wallet, your little bag of travel shampoo bottles that you bought because of my other review and more. The things I have are heavy and it's a sturdy backpack.

This backpack appears to be sturdily made. It was comfortable to wear on mile-long hikes between airport gates, and it just fit under the plane seat in front of me, so using this as a carry-on item should not be a problem. It held a wool business suit without serious wrinkling, along with everything I needed for a three-day trip, except for a pair of dress shoes. The backpack is designed to hold a spare pair of shoes, but unless your feet are a lot smaller than mine (easy enough), pack the shoes first to see how much room you have left. The backpack has lots of small zippered pockets. You might find them very useful. I would have prefered fewer but larger pockets.

I just took the backpack on a trip to Arizona from the northeast and found it to be a bit small compared to my expectations, but very comfortable to wear, easy to carry a laptop in and has a nice mesh compartment to keep clothes neat. It fits easily under a plane seat, even when filled to capacity. I got it for an upcoming trip to Europe and will definitely use it there as a day-tripper from place to place on a train.

Very happy with my purchase of this travel backpack. I have been able to fit 3 days worth of clothing, pjs, socks, and a small toiletry bag in this! Area for a laptop, but o have been storing my iPad in that area. Fit perfectly as a personal item on my United Flight. Perfect over night bag. Wish the water bottle holder could fit a wider bottle, but not a deal breaker. Highly recommend!

Good overall travel backpack for the money. The styling is nice enough for the office but casual enough for a weekend trip. Plenty of pockets and the zip up clothing compartment keeps everything secure. Only negatives are the inside lining material feels cheap, there is no clip for your keys, and the front pock is fairly ackwarck and doesn't provide much utility. If the bag is packed, its also fairly tight to get a 15.6" laptop into the sleeve. A handful of small tweaks such as better pocket organization options and nicer lining materials would make this an even better value. For the price, its a good option to consider.

Love the pockets and slimmer size of this backpack but the first one I purchased had to be returned because there was no zipper pull on one of the compartments (manufacturer defect). Though Target gladly exchanged, my second one has the logo patch coming off. This is just cosmetic but it still impacted my perception of quality due to my previous issue.
