This is an okay pan for basic cooking, like warming up food or baking boxes Mac n cheese. I bought it one night because I needed to make caramel. It’s not heavy duty enough for confections or anything that requires even heat distribution or control. It would be a great little pan for a college student because it’s affordable. The handle has come loose several times. I just tighten it with a screw driver, but still, it kind of bugs.
Very well made pan with a decent heft to it. It has survived a couple of washes in the dishwasher without damaging its ceramic nonstick layer (T-Fal recommends making sure dishwasher spikes do not touch the nonstick interior layer). The pan heats evenly and the lid has a vent hole. The holding surfaces are cool to touch even when the pan is hot. Cleaning the pan right away after cooking directly under water and drying with a paper towel is the best option if you don't want to risk the dishwasher.
Only time will tell how long the ceramic lining will last - but at this price, buying a new pan each year is not a bad option.
