sturdy, heavier than some others

I was interested in using this to hold a lightweight transmitter for a lap timer. I wanted the tripod to be heavy enough that I wouldn't be worried about a breeze blowing it over. It is heavier than the other models that are around this price. This is a plus for me; it was sturdy and streamlined....see moreof the reviewer's review

I have this same exact tripod by Targus, same model, every number matches up. However, the quality of this one is only half of that of the first. I got the first one about 5 years ago and it's such excellent quality, and strong enough to hold my 7 lbs astronomical binoculars. I bought the 2nd identi...see moreof the reviewer's review

This is perfect for a first tripod. The only problem I have with it is I sometimes forget to tighten the pan thingy and I guess my camera is too heavy (it is a model from 2010, so its not as light as the new dSLRs) and it just falls. Not on the ground, like it tilts and the camera foes from facing m...see moreof the reviewer's review

I do macro photography. It's HORRIBLE. In a pinch I needed a tripod, this was a bad idea to buy. It felt broken out of the box. The teeth on it looked chipped and shaved (even some shavings were already falling out of it). It's unstable, shakes while adjusting focus, and now I think I broke it tryin...see moreof the reviewer's review

This is very cheaply made.... It is also over-priced. The price online is NOT the Store Price! The top mount is plastic and it was almost impossible to get my camera attached.... It never did go on in the right direction. The tightening screw head underneath is a small piece of metal that you h...see moreof the reviewer's review

This tripod is one of the worst ones I've ever used.it is so flimsy and super light, just like the wind could blow it away.. It says that it supports up to 7lbs up even at 4lbs it is horrible and so unstable. It is definitely not worth the money spent complete and total disappointment. Wouldn't reco...see moreof the reviewer's review

I bought this tripod 3 years ago and have used it about 10 times. The head came off the main post after my last use. It appears that the plastic 3 way head is glued onto the main post and the glue has given way. The head has always been a little loose, but it met my needs for the shots I was taking....see moreof the reviewer's review
