Q: Do these cookies have a "made in a facility with nuts" type warning on them?
submitted by Momof2 - 1 month ago
A: Thank you for your inquiry, Momof2! You asked if these cookies have a "made in a facility with nuts" warning. We only include this type of warning if there's a chance of cross-contamination. Here's how we label our products: 1. Major Allergens: We list all major allergens like milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans. 2. Additional Allergens: We also label for other allergens like seeds, celery, and sulfites. 3. Cross-Contamination: If there's any chance of cross-contamination, we clearly state it on the packaging, such as "MAY CONTAIN NUTS." I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions.

These cookies are delicious! The gluten free version does not taste any different than my memory of the original.
Tastes like a regular cookie!

An excellent cookie. FINALLY a GF cookie that doesn’t taste like bran or synthetically sweet. It IS very flat, crunchy and dry- just like a Midwestern grandma makes. So if you need soft and chewy, you may be disappointed. But if you like milk, coffee or tea, bring this little cookie with you and it’ll be a nice treat

These taste identical to the regular version of these! They’re my favorite cookie and since having to go gluten free it’s been hard but these make it so much easier. Not sure what the poor reviews go on about with them being oily or not enough chocolate chips because there’s a lot! Both OG and GF versions of this cookie are crispy and crumbly cookies. Only fault is there’s just 2 packs per package and I eat them too fast!
Okay.

I like that they made a GF option, but I’m personally not a fan. I think these are very dry and very crunchy. They taste already, but for the calories I think I’d rather eat other type of cookie

Hello Kat!! We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed and have had a less than desirable experience with our TATE’S BAKE SHOP GLUTEN FREE COCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, which TASTED DRY and were TOO CRUNCHY. This is a rare and unusual occurrence for us, which makes it more disappointing. We would like to report this to our quality team. If you want to speak with us, please call 855-536-6946. If you want to continue speaking to us online, please contact us on Facebook or text us at 1-864-581-2463. We are available to help you Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm ET. These cookies are actually really good! They’re super crispy but they have great flavor and the chocolate chips are a decent size which add some softness to them.

I don't understand the hype. These are both greasy and dry. I don't know if it's just the gluten-free versions or all Tates cookies but the texture is sandy/gritty, and so incredibly unpleasant. Plus there's like 2-3 chocolate chips per cookie. I've never screwed up a cookie recipe so badly that they spread out flat. Guess I should've, then I'd have a famous cookie? I just really don't understand these at all. I'm baffled. They're horrible.

I looooovvvveeee these cookies!!!! Due to a gluten intolerance where a pop tart could land me in the ER, I am always looking for some shelf stable-ish gluten free sweets. Not sure what the time table is for how long they last from being bought but these were bought in May and expire in August. Won’t last that long in my pantry but just something to know. I don’t like chewy chocolate chip cookies. I prefer the crispy-ness of the little chips ahoy cookies that would come in the little cup container. That’s what these remind me of. Including in taste. I was psyched when I found these because they tasted so much like those cookies. If you have issues with gluten, or just want cookies, these are pretty delicious ^_^ definitely recommend.
Love them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tate Cookies are the best tasting mass produced cookie I have ever had. The chocolate chip cookie is hard to resist. I opened it and the bag disappeared by end of day. I would tell anyone who hasn’t tried them to run to the store and get some.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This had a great taste, but I think the Gluten Free aspect of the cookies makes it a little dryer than one would prefer. The size of them are thin, similar to homemade cookies made in the oven. In that perspective, these should be called British Biscuits! I would recommend to anyone who has a gluten allergy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the first time trying Tate’s Bake Shop brand cookies and they were absolutely delicious, especially the Gluten Free Chocolate Chip cookies. My first bite into the cookie you immediately get a mouthful of crispiness and decadent chocolate right off the bat. There is an absolute distinction between a gluten free chocolate chip cookie vs your basic semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie, it melts in your mouth and has a very natural taste to it. The bag of cookies consists of 2 individually wrapped packages of cookie trays, the bag itself has a coated inside for freshness. Overall, these are a really great tasting, “better for you” cookie to indulge in and I will be buying again for my family and would highly recommend trying these out.
