A much more personal album than Reputation. And a less angry Taylor. She has different styles of music here, including a nod to her Country roots with the Dixie Chicks (Soon You’ll Get Better). Once you think her songs all sound the same, she writes the hauntingly beautiful It’s Nice To Have A Friend, which is quickly becoming my favorite on the album. ME! has such a great and simple message - "You're the only one of you, baby that's the fun of you." Sounds like something Mr. Rogers would tell you. There's so many personal themes on this album that it makes me think that the Lover in the title is Taylor Swift herself loving herself. And not one song about revenge for one of her past lovers.
Where is the energy..this one is just words a beat and heavy bass.

I have been a Taylor Swift fan since the first record. Each album has a personality of its own. I am glad that I have the album but, the last albums I loved right out of the box. This one there where only two songs that I had on replay "Paper RIngs" and "you need to calm down". The rest seems like her talking her songs with heavy bass. This is my least favorite from the collection.
I love Taylor Swift’s new Album!!! Every song is awesome and her voice shines on every song! My favorite songs off this album are, “Paper Rings”, “ME!”, “Miss America & The Heartbreak Prince”, “You Need To Calm Down”. All her songs are excellent!! Taylor Swift is my all time favorite artist!
