My family loves this TV. We purchased it on Black Friday 2019, it had a great deal. The apps are easy to use, volume and color is good. Even our 4 year old daughter can use the apps its very easy we love it.

Lots of early hope, but ended up disappointed

Good deal on this via Black Friday 2019 at my local Target Store; this has worked great since we purchased it until over the last couple of weeks. Apps are finicky and unstable, screen constantly freezes up, audio has also started to sound like it is coming out of a piece of sand paper, and the picture is suppose to be 4K but I would be shocked if it were even 720 resolution. The only reason this is getting two starts instead of one is because it has been a nice television until recently, AND I have tried calling TCL customer service for support on these issues...and I get placed on hold for several minutes by the CSR then disconnected. So thus, the poor review for both performance and support by TCL. I do not recommend this model TCL. Previously had an LG but wanted to try TCL when it was time to invest in a new TV, but now I regret it. Stick with Samsung, LG, Sony, etc.

Bad Screen

I bought this TV at the end of January and the picture has gone out. When it is on everything is shaded and it looks like someone dumped water on a picture. Everything blurs together and is dark. I have no idea why it’s like this because i have a 42in one ive had for about a year that’s perfect. I’m super upset because I bought it using gift cards and don’t have a receipt so I don’t know how to get it fixed.

My tv screen is dark just like many here. It is not even 2 years old! My tv no longer has picture. Checking online it seems that this is not an isolated case. This tv is fraught with problems. It has a 1 year warranty that conveniently expires approx. 6 mos. before the tv stops working. I fortunately have a Vizio tv in my bedroom that is over 15 years old and still works great. I am very disappointed.

Very Disappointed

First 2 we picked up at Target were broken, but 3rd finally worked - for a while. Have had the TV for maybe a couple of years now, and it went black tonight. Can navigate to where we can load our streaming service and hear sound, but screen only shows black and the very slightest hint of a shadow if you are standing over to the side of it. Cannot get anyone to answer at Target and cannot locate receipt to see if still under extended warranty. Being without TV during the COVID-19 crisis and quarantine is the pits. Thank God we don't have the virus too, but watching on our phones is not the most ideal situation, and will get old very shortly. Oh, and due to the virus, TCL is only open for modified hours and not at all on the weekends. Very disappointed.

Black screen - 2 months ago
The TV was working great. But then the Black screen came on. Tried all factory resets none of them worked. Even called the support tech no help there. TV is not even 2 years old.

I bought this tv 8/26/18, at first it was great. Some issues with the remote but tv itself was good. After a year the remote stopped working and I had to download an app to control my tv. Now about 1 1/2 later my tv no longer has picture. Checking online it seems that this is not an isolated case. This tv is fraught with problems. It has a 1 year warranty that conviently expires approx. 6 mos. before the tv stops working. I fortunately have a Samsung tv in my bedroom that is over 10 years old and still works great. I am very disappointed.

TV is great, picture is great, and sound is great. What is not great is the remote it comes with. The signal of the remote does not fully work with the tv. I have to struggle every time I want to change the channel. Also, the TV is slow to connect to the wifi.
