We decided to purchase this TV, even though we knew very little about the company as felt it had nice features for the price. Literally 1 year and 1vmonth later, the t.v. just turned off and would not turn on again. We worked with TCL tech department and they said that even though the year warranty had just passed, since it was so close and probably a relatively easy fix, they believed the company would work with us to fix it. They took our information and two days later, we got an email saying so sorry, we won't help you, thanks for choosing TCL. I assure you we will not be choosing TCL in the future. We were willing to give them a chance, but with this lackluster experience with their customer service department, we will returning to L.G. and Sony which may cost slightly more, but at least we know their products last.

I bought this to replace a 55" plasma because I already owned a TCL Roku TV and loved it. I'll use the plasma in another room (if I can lift it!). This has all the modern connections (meaning I had to upgrade my receiver, since this doesn't have RCA audio out, but that worked out fine for me), and the advantage of having Roku on both my main TVs is great. I find myself watching YouTube video blogs more than actual television. Being 4K, it also works great as a computer monitor. I use another 55" for that at the history center where I volunteer, and it's fantastic. People often remark on how great it looks. It replaced a 42" HDTV that we now consider only of use as a big digital frame for digitized historical photos.
Great price for its quality! However, we do not like the remote because it’s not your standard remote. There are no numbers on it so you cannot type in the channel you want. You must go through all of them.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Currently, our smart TVs do not support the direct input of channel numbers. However, if your TV is connected to the Internet, you can press the left arrow key to populate a channel guide and navigate channels this way. Additionally, you can enable "favorites" for over the air channels so that your most watched channels will automatically appear towards the top. To enable favorites you would go to Home>Settings>TV inputs>Antenna TV>Favorite Channels>Enable. Hope this helps! Thank you, Sara TCL Customer Support
For the price the was a must buy. I usually wait and get my TVs on Black Friday but I seen this deal was was in the market to upgrading to a 65” for a while.
Long story short after many hours spent researching online and comparing specs I come to find Tcl is up there with brands like Samsung and Vizio. So I definitely recommend!
