The Shield is a quick-dry, high-shine top coat that leaves nails looking beautiful, protecting against chipping. It creates a smooth, even, shiny finish, and, when applied every few days, it can extend the length of a manicure.
8-free, vegan and cruelty free, The Shield does not contain: dibutyl phthalate (dbp), toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, ethyl tosylamide, xylene, or triphenyl phosphate (tphp).
To use, apply over color for lasting effects. Re-apply as needed or every 2-3 days for extended color wear and renewed shine. For the best results, apply following tenoverten's nail strengthening base coat, The Foundation, and tenoverten 8-free Nail Polish.

This is one of the best top coats I’ve ever tried. Dries very fast and didn’t smudge at all when I touched my nails after a couple of minutes of application. The consistency is great since it lets you apply a thin coat, compared to other fast drying top coats that are very thick and end up smudging because it can’t dry very fast contrary to their name. Looking at you, Essie. The trick is to apply a thin coat so it comes out very very good!

This product was not as good as I thought it would be based on reviews. I put a thin layer on, let it dry and it was so easy to dent the top layer. My nails now look dented and scratched! I will be returning. I use Essie gel products underneath, and those are great and practically indestructible.

Terrible product. Brush was way too small and squared off at the end so you’d end up with a straight line at the cuticle area. Also it was shipped dirty without a box so I must’ve gotten one that was returned. Gross!

Worst topcoat ever. I can’t understand the good reviews. It killed my mani. No shine just a weird smeary look. It did dry fast so that’s the one star. Returned. Essie gel setter is the best.

I like that it’s natural and it leaves your nails super glossy. By far the shiniest topcoat I’ve tried, but it does nothing as far as longevity. Honestly every time I use this my nails chip faster than they do without a top coat. Disappointed but I’m going to continue use because it was way too expensive.
