Very substantial base. If you live in an area with a breeze fron the water, you will be well served. It took both if us..my husband and myself, to set the screws, but my unbrelllas have not landed on the ground with these. I do recommend. Just know, they really are substantial.

The terra cotta umbrella base is lovely in color and at 55lbs, heavier than what we needed for the moment. Living in Oklahoma now, the winds get pretty strong in rain/thunder storms, but we leave our umbrella outside wrapped tight with a bungy cord and we feel confident the umbrella will stay put.
