We are disappointed to hear you are not happy with this food. Please email us when you get a chance as we'd love to discuss your experience with you. Our email is petsupport@spectrumbrands.com. If you did a complete water change, you may be going through an ammonia spike or New Tank Syndrome. There are other possible causes we'd like to make sure aren't the reason for the cloudy water but we'd also like to know more about the can that you purchased. We hope to hear from you soon!

my goldfish won't eat the white flakes I don't know why is there like somethinglike the flavor or can they not see it, it is making my tank really dirty and I want to know why they're not eating
1 reply from Consumer Services team - 1 year ago
We are sorry to hear your fish do not like the white flakes, although those are typically found in our GloFish diets, not our goldfish ones. It is a special potato protein and helps to support the protein in the muscles of the glofish. Goldfish will not typically need or like this protein. Please contact our Care Team at 1-800-526-0650 if you would like more assistance.

Not good for the fish tank

My tank gets nasty within a week. This stuff does not do what it has on the bottle.
1 reply from Consumer Services team - 2 years ago
Thank you for taking the time to post a review Agnes! We are sorry to hear your tank is getting dirty pretty fast. Be sure to have at least three gallons of water per inch of goldfish, and feed only what they can eat in 30 seconds or less. Any left over food will definitely lead to cloudy water as well as water quality issues. We will reach out to you directly to assist you.

Turns tank cloudey

Our tank turned cloudy with in a week of using the new can of food. We cleaned the tank and it is cloudy again with in a week this is with a filter. We have used the same food for months and not had a problem. This is a new can!

Thank you for your review; we are sorry to hear about your cloudy tank issues. There are any number of possible reasons for cloudy water. If you did a very large or complete water change for example, you may be experiencing a bacterial bloom. If you had not done a water change for quite a while prior to the first cloudy water issue, organic matter may have caused a bloom or microscopic animals could have developed. Overfeeding will cause cloudy water, and fish can outgrow tanks, leading to cloudy water as well. We would be happy to discuss the matter with you further to see if we can ascertain what is going on. Please call us directly at 1-800-526-0650.
