Thayers Natural Remedies Witch Hazel Alcohol Free Toner with Rose Petal

Very effective at reducing acne bumps on forehead!

I have oily & acne-prone skin, and have been dealing with huge red pimples (especially the ones that grow under the skin) and small bumps pretty much all my teen years. I have tried SO so many things to help with my acne; the panoxyl benzoyl peroxide face wash helped control the rate of which I got the pimples, but never completely stopped them. So I got this toner about two weeks ago, and started noticing improvements in my skin by my 3rd day of using it! After about two weeks, I barely get the big angry pimples anymore, and my skin feels so much smoother! I use it twice a day (AM+PM) after cleansing, and I basically drench my face in it. I make sure to pat it onto my face gently with my fingers. Then I follow up with the cerave moisturizer. I have changed nothing in my skincare besides adding this toner. That’s how I know it’s working. However, like all skincare, this might not work for everyone, but if you have oily and acne prone skin and are out of ideas, I recommend giving this a shot!

I love this toner! It has been so good for my sensitive skin. After using for a few months I feel my skin tone has evened out, feels clean, and feels moisturized. I use twice a day.

This toner has phenoxyethanol which is an eye irritant and it also has fragrance, so I threw it away and went with a different brand.

Gentle and clarifying. My go to toner. Thayers is the only brand I buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have really oily skin, this is a great toner because of the astringent nature of the witch hazel and smells nice because of the rose water. The rose water provides a soothing effect but is not quite enough for the dry spots on my skin. In all honesty, unless you have unmanageably oily skin and need an additional step in your routine to keep your face more matte throughout the day, it is okay to skip this.

I was excited to try this product as I am a fan of Witch Hazel for my skin. I found that I applied the product to my face whenever I felt that I needed to calm my skin, or I needed a pick me up, or my face just felt dirty and it was more efficient to tone then wash. The product had a soft pleasant scent of roses and witch hazel. It was soothing but it did cause my skin to feel a bit tight and dried out. That was fixable with some moisturizer though.

This toner has a slight scent of rose and is so absolutely soothing to use after the shower or to even remove makeup.
