I bought this game for my 7 yr old son. He thought it was too hard at first, so I decided to give it a try. That was it, I was hooked. I’ve played it through twice and there is still more to find and do. Engaging storyline, fun characters and nice open world graphics. It is a challenging game. I’ll admit I had to look up a few tips and cheats along the way but, so much fun.

I had not played Nintendo games for over 25 years but I specifically purchased a Switch for this game and wow, its absolutely phenomenal. It’s definitely challenging and no it doesn’t come with much guidance but there’s no reason to be ashamed by spending a min or two and looking up online how to’s or where to go.. It’s an enormous open world game, with an insane amount of exploration. It’s worth the price of admission and the sequel comes out soon!

When I got my Nintendo Switch, this was one of the top games that friends would recommend to me. I’ve always been aware of the Legends of Zelda franchise, but I hadn’t really dabbled in much of the lore or other games. I recently bought this and I just fell in love. It’s so beautiful. Everything is vibrant and colourful. The story is also very engaging, and the people you meet during the journey add so much to it. I’m almost disappointed that I didn’t explore these characters and this franchise before, but I am glad that this was my introduction. I am so looking forward to the sequel of this game!

I am a fan of Skyrim and Oblivion, where you can choose to do the main quest or not if you want and just do side quests, and you can just do side quests in this. You can just buy and sell goods if you want; you can just hunt, or just collect resources and get rich, just make potions all day if you want. You can just explore and climb mountains and completely ignore the main story. The explorable area is absurdly huge, too. If you like Far Cry 3, give this a try, because you map-viewable areas by basically capturing a tower instead of a camp, which opens up all kinds of new possibilities each time. You can just run away from most hard enemies most of the time, or climb off an edge to avoid them and around the corner to where they can't go to avoid them.

I’ve played Ocarina of Time and Majora’s mask when I was a young kid. So, I really enjoy Zelda games. This game did not disappoint! Crazy large open world, multi-level aspects of the game thats takes skill and time. It’s super addicting and I can get lost in this game for hours. Especially a good excuse not to do dishes or clean LOL. By it, its 100% worth it and the scenery is amazing. Now if you don’t like complex games, open worlds, riddles to figure out, building up your skills and weapons…then go find an easier game.

Some background, I haven’t played a game since i was in middle school and i’m currently 24. I also have no gaming experience with Legend of Zelda. So far after a few days of playing the game.. I have been OBSESSED with the game. This game doesn’t give you a complete guide on every thing. You have to figure out a lot on your own especially as a first time player with no prior knowledge. HOWEVER, this is a complete dream for me. The open world concept and ability to play my own way makes it soooo much fun to figure things out in my own. There’s so many things going on which can get overwhelming but it keeps the game fresh and on my toes. I don’t see myself finishing this game within a month which is a huge plus for me because I want to explore every inch of the maps. Granted there are areas with harder enemies, but it’s a challenge for me to try to find a way around them and learn better ways at fighting them. I’ve managed to get into some areas being way weaker than my opponents and it’s thrilling. Only “complaint” I have is trying to figure out how to fight the monsters. I wish they could teach you right off the bat but you kind of learn as you go. Even then It’s hood instead of overwhelming you with so many ways. I can keep going on for days but i have to get back to playing. Def recommend if you’re into a long term game and love solving problems.

Almost impossible to play without a guide. They want you to figure everything out by roaming around the world and don't give you any hints. Sure you get a lot of gameplay hours, but it's just pointless roaming. Certain areas have monsters that are too powerful and they don't explain how to get better armour or how to cook recipes. Everything has to be figured out on your own. Plus weapons break after just a few enemies. There are better open world games out there. BoTW tries to be Skyrim and doesn't come close.

When I first opened this game I was sure that I would end up returning it. I was never into Zelda as a kid and didn’t think I would like it as an adult (story seemed tropey at first). I was so wrong. My friends and I are already completely hooked on this game and I’ve literally only had it for a day. The graphics are really nice and the storyline is super addicting. Especially when it’s on sale, this is 100% worth the money. Would recommend to anyone.

This was a gift from my mom (who played Zelda with my dad when they were younger and she wanted me to experience it). It took me an entire year to finish this and I am amazed. The graphics are absolutely stunning. The game is HUGE and so detail oriented. I’m blown away by the hidden features, cleverness, and simply how fun the tasks are. I’m in my 30s and I am now a Zelda fan for life. I can’t wait for the 2nd to come out now. This game is so addicting. Even after defeating Ganon, I keep picking it back up again to find any seeds I’ve missed or to simply wander around and explore missed areas. I love this game, so much.

This game is amazing! Botw has everything from a giant open world to great boss fights. It has an absolutely amazing story and I cannot say this enough it’s amazing like a movie but you get to play it. You could literally spend 500 hours on the game and still not do everything
