I bought this on sale a few months ago and was surprised to learn that there was no Android app in the Google Play Store. I went to the Lyric website and saw that it said "Android coming soon". Okay, fine. We're now nearly three months later and the website text hasn't changed. Why do I care? Because when I pick up the device, one of the menu items informs me that there's an update for the device. Terrific. So I download the update (which takes a while) and I get back to using it for a knotted shoulder or something and when I'm done, I notice that it says there's an update available, so I install that update and that process seems to install the previous version of the interface. And, of course, it now tells me that there's an update available. :P I've played this update game a half-dozen times over the last 3 months, each time, expecting that the update will install the latest, greatest version and stop telling me that an update is available. And that's why I want the app: I want to see if that is a way to stop this unending update loop that the device seems to be caught in. (I've emailed support regarding their "Android coming soon" claim and did not hear back.) There are themes or whatever they're called that are supposed to help with certain conditions, but most of the time, I just want to massage my shoulder or neck and don't care about the doctors or exercise physiologists whose profiles are built into the device. Also, leaving the device in the charging dock makes it hot. I don't understand why the device doesn't turn off when it's charged. Maybe version 2.0 of this device will be better.
