Excellent cookbook for healthy, southern cooking with classic taste

This cookbook has quickly become my go-to for our family. The southern recipes are classic, but adapted to be a bit healthier. Think less butter without missing out on flavor. Many recipes include allergy, gluten free or other adaptations, making it flexible for people with sensitivities. The recipes use "regular old" grocery store ingredients -- nothing fancy or hard to find. Step by step directions are easy to follow and accurate. If it says it'll take 45 minutes to make, it takes 45 minutes. The stories that accompany each recipe bring the authors into the book, but the stories aren't so long you get distracted by them. From cover to cover, this is one delicious book. (My favorite recipe is the coconut chocolate pie)!
