as a queer person who lives, and grew up in the Bible belt, I wish I had a book like this when I was younger to let me know that there was nothing wrong with me. When I was growing up, I felt like an alien. it wasn't until I became an adult that I found people like me, and realized that l wasn't alone. I'm non-binary. and there's nothing wrong with me for that.
Strongly recommend for all children; it's so important to learn about other people and how pronouns work

For all those who celebrate the fullness of creation and all of God's children. Let the children know: Diversity is not an accident or defect. Diversity is the manifestation of divine truth! Thank you Chris for blessing us and our children with this truth.

Wonderful illustrations! Terrific message. It isn't hard to ask someone what their pronouns are. But some would think you were asking them to pull out their eye teeth with their fingers. It leaves the detailed explanation up to the parents. If a kid can learn that there is a Billy, John, Josh, Roger, Steven, Suszie, Susan, Beth, Beatrice, Debra, and more people with different names in their circle they can learn the pronouns they wish to use as well.

Teaching kids about other people's gender identities isn't harmful! If we teach inclusivity young, the world will be a much better place in the end.
So respectful for those who are disrespected

I love how this teaches respect. I’m buying this as an RA of a Inclusive Living Community. Everyone deserves to be recognized. And yes, I’m a Christian. I support this because everyone is a sinner and all sins are equal according to the Bible. You’re hate makes you equal to the people you hate.

What a great way to start a conversation with kids about respecting differences! Great for kiddos with non gender conforming loved ones, or anyone who wants to raise their children to be loving and accepting. After all, who would Jesus hate?

I bought a copy of this book for my niece and one for my future child. I love this age appropriate way to discuss inclusivity! As a teacher with a passion for literacy, this book will forever be added onto every baby shower gift I give. I would also love a copy for older kids to be placed in my classroom library.
