My husband and I are scientific, no nonsense type people and NEVER thought this would work. I bought it out of desperation knowing it wouldn't work, but also knew it wouldn't hurt to try. IT WORKED! My 3 year old now drifts off to sleep as we are reading it to him. It's worth its weight in gold. Buy it and try it! My husband walked into our bedroom 10 minutes after he started reading it to our son dumbfounded that he actually just put (Our problematic sleeper) to sleep. Actual sleep. Craziness...

I'm crying tears of relief and gratefulness right now. Usually, it takes at least an hour to get my son to sleep. Last night, it was two and a half DREADFUL hours of my four year old, kicking and screaming, hitting and talking back to me, and it stretched me to my limit. I had heard of this book, but it seemed a bit sinister and devious to "trick" my son. On the way home from work tonight, I took the plunge and bought this out of sheer desperation (and sleep deprivation). I read the tips on how to read the book effectively, then gave it a try. FIFTEEN MINUTES later, my adorable son fell asleep on me. Yes, the book is boring, and asks you to read the same words over and over and over, but the results are worth it! I'd gladly spend another $15.99, and will shout my praise of this book from the rooftops.

The internet site says the book is 96 pages long, but it is actually only 12 pages long. The price is way to high for such a small book. I haven't tried reading it to my granddaughter yet.
