A: Hi There! Although this kit comes with a guide, it can be used to create anything you'd like to invent. However, each project in the guide will let you know what you need from the kit & if items that are not included are necessary. Some of those extra items that may or may not be needed are paint, markers, scissors, pencils, paper plates, cardboard and/or plastic cups. Although this set comes with plenty of things to craft with, the instruction booklet is almost non-existent. The front page says “complete guide to inventions” and I think that’s a little too far stretched as it’s basically just a photo album of things you COULD build. I understand the reasoning behind this as it’s supposed to motivate kids to build their own designs, but we were really looking forward to build the things on the front of the booklet.

This didn’t seem age appropriate for a 10 year old. It was difficult projects and the instructions are missing pages so you don’t know what to do with all the stuff. My kid is creative and loves STEM projects and in the gifted program so feel like he would make something if he could. Looked fun…but isn’t. Returned.

I bought this for my son for his birthday and it is a pretty nice looking substantial craft kit for the price. It had lots of neat things you could make with the supplies provided. My daughter thought it was so cool she asked if I might be able to get her one for her birthday too. Inside the craft kit comes with a guide that is a little booklet with ideas. It is a great gift for the creative kid in your life.

Our thinkbox is fully intact and in perfect condition. The plastic see-through lid includes a length conversions table, a 10" ruler, and a 25cm ruler built in. There's 3 small compartments about .5" deep and a spacious 6.5" compartment measuring appr 3/4cm deep to help hold supplies while building. There aren't enough supplies to create multiple projects and the instructions doesnt cover all the projects shown on the cover like the pinball machine that is (btw) mostly decorative and non-functional. In my opinion thinkbox is overpriced and misleading. A fair price would be $15. This set would be great for anyone w/ a big imagination or someone who already owns crafting supplies and can add to this kit.

This box is not great to make what is shown on the package. The glue wasn’t great. BUT my kids LOVE building random things with all the contents. It’s helped build items for Girl Scouts, and for them to just use their imagination to make silly items. I actually wound up ordering more boxes just so they could have fun being kids and using their imagination. So 5 stars for random builds but if you want what’s on the box it isn’t the best.

it is a box of craft materials but not several projects. The instruction only has 8 pages in black and white. It offers you some idea but not how to make. Not all the materials are included. You even cannot find the material to make the body of the rocket ship shown on the box.
