submitted byTheTideTeam - 4 years agoBrand expertA: I called Tide. If the bottle does not have the HE turbo logo on it, it is NOT for use in an HE washer. Even though the back label describes how much to use in an HE washer, that does NOT mean that the detergent is for use in an HE machine. They use the same back label for both their HE and non-HE bottles. The bottle neck must have the HE turbo logo on it to be used in an HE washer.

A: This product helps remove 99% of everyday stains, however, our RESCUE Boosters contain a mixture of color-safe oxygen bleach, so you may want to use this in addition to our Ultra Stain Release Liquid.

Q: I found then lost a site that suggested Tide Ultra Stain Release 4 cleaning kitchen cabinets & car interior. I thought they said powder but only find liquid. Can LIQU be used for household cleaning?

Q: The instructions on the back of the bottle indicate amounts for HE machines. How much of the product should be used for standard machines?

I have been using TUSR for years. It is by far the most effective laundry detergent I have used in 40+ yrs. It is also as good as the best prewash stain removers available. I have just used the "FREE" once. The odor seemed milder than the regular. The liquid seemed a little thinner & had a more neutral color (not blue). It is too early to make any judgement on effectiveness. If it works as well as the regular type, I would recommend it to a friend.

Discovered this detergent a few years ago. Now I rarely have to spot clean or use stain pretreating products on my clothes. I just throw my dirty clothes in the wash (front loader) and they come out clean. Works well in cold water and warm. I like that there's no scent. I do add a scoop of oxiclean when washing light colors for an extra boost.

We have a construction worker and dogs in the house. Filthy dirty smelly things go in, clean no smell things come out. Either for hang dry or dryer. We wash everything in the COLD tap water cycle (front load), even all our white towels, bleach not needed. Nothing we have looks old or faded, strange but true.

Does a great job at cleaning fabric and is still super gentle on skin! I have a bad habit of accidentally getting makeup on white shirts and they always come out clean and bright with this. I use this detergent for my son and myself (breastfeeding mama here) and it is so gentle on our skin. This detergent does a decent job at cleaning up stains, but if you have a nasty one (marinara sauce, red fruit…) you will still need something else to help eliminate those stains. We switched to this when my son developed winter eczema last year and it helped out a lot with helping his sensitive skin. We’ve continued to use it.
