I typically buy store brand cereal, and I’ve always been happy with every other target brand item I’ve bought... THIS is gross though. The texture seems stale even though the date is good and I just opened the box. And the taste? I imagine it would taste similar if I just chewed on the cardboard box itself. Definitely never buying again, and do not recommend. If I’m at target and I need cereal again, I’ll just pay the extra for the name brand. Not worth the saving in this case..
No there aren't going to taste like a spoonful of added sugar like every other box of cereal - but you can always add that if you're craving it?
Me personally, I have spent decent time searching for cereals that aren't so much sugar and to my surprise this one is none! For all of the people complaining about the taste? It tastes like Cheerios minus the sugar they add in. Love them. They are a wonderful alternative to sugary cereals!
Ok, so I loved Cheerios for years. Ate them out straight out of the box. Thought I would never change until I found out it contained glyphosate, an ingredient used in pesticide, aka, Round up which is also used in several other brands of products General Mills produces...yes, you heard me correctly. Here's the link if you don't believe me...https://www.delish.com/food-news/a23307215/roundup-pesticide-cheerios-explainer/
Anyway, no, these aren't Cheerios but they're a good replacement imo & they taste pretty good. I love them as a snack & will continue to buy until Cheerios decides not to use weed killer in their cereals because even the smallest amount is not the worth the risk of getting cancer.
This is the worst cereal I have ever tasted. I really tried to like it, but it is disgusting. Cardboard would taste better. I could not get anyone in my family to eat it. In fact, most of them just spit it out. We ended up just throwing it away. It is disgusting!
sure, they're not cheerios but they're just fine. same thing with target brand rice crispies and target wheat thins... and the target brand oreos are better than the name brand. perhaps knowing you bought store brand is leading you astray. try taking it out of the packaging before you compare. we store our cereal and crackers without the packaging and we can't tell the difference.
These are terrible! I always try to trudge through food that isn't up to par, but I couldn't get past one bite. Into the trash it went, and I hate wasting food. Wish I had spent the extra money to get name brand.
